  1. Installed JCR Offroad Evap Skid on Badlands.

Yeah, I removed the thick steel cover around the evaporator. In retrospect, I’m not 100% certain if the JCR evap skid interfered with the OEM evap guard since I had other interferences going on at the front (sub-frame tie-ins not yet unbolted) and rear (fuel tank guard) when we initially fit...
  2. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

This thing is a camping machine!
  3. Grab handles

3-point net up front between the grab handles, and a 4-point net between the rear seat handles and the new anchors over the cargo area. These don’t impede rear view at all, even loaded with lightweight stuff. I highly recommend adding these anchors and nets. The nets stay well clear of the...
  4. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

I installed 2 ceiling nets and they were a godsend for our camping trip over the weekend. These nets don’t impede my view at all from the driver’s seat, even with the nets fully loaded with 4 blankets, a folding chair, pillows, my kids’ stuffies, snacks, and rolls of TP and paper towels. All of...
  5. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

Rounding up some details posted elsewhere about thisq build.. Installing JCR skids and sliders. This ended up being a heckuva lot more work than expected but I’m glad they’re on. Installing rear cargo ceiling hooks for a cargo net in the otherwise unusable scalloped roof space above the cargo...
  6. Grab handles

Job done. I stuck with 2ā€ 1/4-20 bolts but picked up some stainless spacers and coupling nuts, extending the total standoff length to 2.5ā€ with a nice threaded interface at the end to bolt clips into. It wasn’t too hard to locate the offset anchors, punch through the headliner, and bolt in...
  7. Grab handles

I took a look under the headliner last night. Generally, finding an accessible anchor point looks more involved than I was hoping, but I think I found a way that will work for me. To get under the liner, I first had to remove the D pillar trim following these instructions kindly linked by...
  8. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

Some detail on the relay setup. I initially futzed with a super cheap Nilight 6-gang, discounted on amazon resale, but it turned out that unit was returned for a reason. The control board was faulty. I wasted a couple of nights installing and trying to get that to work. Should have tested...
  9. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

Glad you asked. I pretty much followed what @Curtsbronco did in his thread here. Summary: From the engine bay, I routed 2 wire pairs (14 and 16 AWG jacketed from nilight) around the driver’s side hood hinge and up the A pillar under the outside trim (no inside trim removal needed), then...
  10. Outfitting 2025 Badlands

My ā€˜25 Badlands finally made its first tracks in dirt yesterday, so I figured it’s good occasion to share my build. More details to follow. 2025 Badlands in Desert Sand HRG 1.5ā€ lift kit (spacers) Method MR701 17x7.5 bronze wheels (30mm offset) Toyo AT3 245/65R17 tires JCR skids and sliders...
  11. Installed JCR Offroad Evap Skid on Badlands.

I just finished installing skids and sliders on my ā€˜25 Badlands last night. It took about 8 hrs of labor - 3 hrs drilling and 5 hrs iteratively fit checking, trimming, re-drilling, and beating the plates into submission. That was with on/off help from a friend who has much more experience than I...
  12. A Pillar Wiring

Aha! I see how you got it under the roof channel strip now. Was it hard to pop the wires out through the weather stripping under the roof rack attachment point? Did you seal the weather strip at that point? Looks great, like a pro installation. By the way, I've read countless pages of your posts...
  13. A Pillar Wiring

Oooh I see it now! Thanks a bunch. I will do the same. Iā€˜m also avoiding irreversible mods, for the most part, and I won’t mind having the wire hider sit on top of the OEM trim. Looks great in your installation. Good point! I saw that too after following the breadcrumb Curt helpfully provided...
  14. A Pillar Wiring

Sorry for being dense.. can you help me understand how that fits? At the end of your video, it looks like you tucked the power and coax cables under the cover and weather stripping for the roof rack channel. The channel cover looks flush and neat, like OEM. Is the KC wire hider installed at...
  15. A Pillar Wiring

Thanks for making this. How did you hide the wires at the top?
  16. Grab handles

I thought the same thing, looks super handy. Any way to use the recessed ceiling space in the rear cargo area would go a long way. I might still peek under the headliner and see if there’s anything good to anchor to.. after a few other projects.
  17. Additional Cargo Tie Downs

@Devon_62 I like your idea of running rails with tie-down anchors. Did you end up building something like this?
  18. Grab handles

@JamesT did you end up finding a way to make that cargo net work? I stepped through the same discovery process today, realizing Ford skimped on driver’s side grab handles.

  20. Toggle Switch Panel

Big space guy here too. My other vehicle is going to lunar orbit :) Thanks @Trist0n for sharing your switch panel build. I’m starting on a similar one tonight. It’ll go in the vacant moonroof control panel like @Mwittke5857 showed.
