Copy all. With the 93 tune, do you experience the lugging at low speeds and low RPM? Really, aside from performance gains and refinements, I am hoping to have that tuned out, but canāt find anything official for the 1.5.
Finally got the car back.
- Waterpump replaced and coolant system serviced via the 25-2063 TSB
- Back right tire had a nail and slow leak. Was patched.
- both rear struts were found to be leaking and were both replaced.
Wild.
Update⦠Going on 4 weeks at the dealer now. Ford service is an absolute joke these days⦠Anyway, the parts have been acquired for the water pump replacement, just waiting for it to get in for the replacement. I did ask to make sure they ordered the updated water pump and they did. I also asked...
Update: Iāll be taking my Bronco back to the dealer on Monday.. this week was pretty warm in Colorado and we started smelling coolant after every drive for the last 3-4 days. In addition to that, the popping/clunking is getting more prevalent in reverse now. Weāll see what they say after...
I think youāre leaving out some details here though⦠what year is your BS and how many miles have you racked up?
At least the dealership caught these things, so you should feel better knowing that. Every vehicle has their quirks and nuances, even Hondas and Toyotas. Mine doesnāt have any...
After driving my BS for a few days, it appears the noise is still there, and the dealer botched the alignmentā¦. Iāll be going back to have them fix that. For now though, Iām just going to drive it and see if symptoms get worse or if itās just a normal characteristic that Iām paying too much...
Picked up the Bronco this morning. The techs stated that the strut was showing signs of premature wear due to corrosion. The entire strut assembly and bearing were replaced and it had an alignment done. So far so good and glad to have it back.
Side note: Not sure the service advisor wanted...
Update: I requested an update from my Service Advisor this morning. She stated that the front right strut is being replaced and it will be ready for pick up this evening. When I get there, I will be sure to ask if it was showing any signs of premature wear and post any additional details they...
Test drive with the shop foreman went well. I was able to replicate the noise. Heās thinking itās a strut or end link currently. Theyāre investigating now.
So, I got an update. Techs just took it on a 16 mile drive and didnāt hear anything, and thought I was referring to the cylinder deactivation. Guess they didnāt read my service notes⦠I have to go in tomorrow to ride along with a tech to try and simulate the pop noise to them.
Maybe this...
Will do. Luckily, one of the pops happened right in front of my Service Advisor when I pulled in who stated she barely heard it, but did hear it. Fingers crossed they find the culprit. Itāll be 3-5 business days before I hear back from them.
Not a dumb question, I will certainly take a look. I made sure everything was torqued to spec with the lug nuts yesterday, but I will go back and check for debris today.
So, took my son to daycare this morning without auto-hold on and it was still making the pop intermittently. I have to reschedule my appointment for the dealer, but when I can make it in I will have them inspect the entire driveline to include the motor mounts and struts. Itās still driving...
