Hello, The Dealership gave me the number. It's 1-800-393-3673. They are on Mid time zone. Think it's the luck of the Draw when you call who you speak to. I happened to get a Very Good Rep! Maybe it helped that I said my first car was a Pinto and my last car was an Edge. Dealership said to...
Fingers Crossed. Had the RDU replaced at dealership last week. After contacting Ford Corp., they offered to pay $1000 of the $2500 quote. Had no choice but to accept. Couple days later, same Ford Rep called and said I only had to cover $387 of the repair. IDK why, but I was pretty happy about...
From what the service manager said. there is a repair rather than replace, but parts are Not available for repair. He said price wasn't much different. I am good at reading upside down, but was small print, so unsure what the repair cost was.
Sshhhh. It's like opening pandora's box! I too replaced my battery, probably a better one. Didn't notice til after the fact, that they did the battery replacement for the recall at my last visit to dealership. Nice going as the battery I put in was only a few months old!
OK, thanks. It has 69K on it. First reported at 35K.
Service manager said they may split some of the cost as I mentioned to him the same as to stalling til out of warranty. No, they wouldn't do that!
I will read the link you provided before I contact.
I'm just wondering if this issue was there...
Any advice before contacting Ford Corp??
Issue was first reported in August of 2023 and at that time they changed the differential fluid which also seemed to take care of the moaning noise when backing.
That issue took forever to resolve, but it is back now. Even got a case number from Ford...
I was just getting ready to post a new thread on this subject. RDU replacement, which I was just informed of needing. He said it's Only $2500 to replace rather than fix.
Going back and researching all the work I have had done that started with the dreaded Moaning noise when backing up.
Think I...
We shall see what dealership says. Going in today. I have no patience and don't like being stranded, so I had it jumped and went to advanced auto. They had a hard time trying to test, so I said just put a battery in it.
Haven't had a problem with it since Saturday when I got battery.
The...
After reading this whole thread I need to get my paper work from the recall to see if battery was tested and compare to paperwork from regular service a month before.
My dealership has a pretty high turnover of technicians IMO.
Hate waiting until Tuesday to find out if just original battery...
I've been reading all the battery threads to see if anyone else had this problem. I hate to be stranded and don't know many people where I moved to, but I'm tempted to try jumping it to take to get tested when my neighbor gets home.
Dealership can't even look at until Tuesday and have to have...
Had the 24S24 recall done last month. Hadn't noticed any issues since until today. 21 bronco sport wouldn't start. Just kept clicking. Just recently changed fob batteries, so there was an issue and I though was key fob
Went in house to do some research. Heard something and saw my lights were...
They acted like I was nuts when I came right back after oil change and tire rotation. I swore they didn't tighten lug nuts it was so bad.
They couldn't duplicate, but then said they were ordering fluid. Waiting
I think this may have something to do with the back up issue though.
Let's add one more issue to the unresolved ones.
The back up moaning, the noise and shudder when turning etc.
I seem to remember last year this may have popped up but my daughter was driving and it went right away, so didn't get to make a notation of it.
Do I go to dealership so they can say...
That's great to hear. Sarcasm. Thinking I should contact Ford Corporate. At this point I'm not even sure if they have documented everything. First time I took it for the moaning, she said oh well had escapes with that issue. You just have to live with it.
Kinda of disappointed with the way...
Took the 2021 bronco in for oil change and tire rotation. Told them about a power steering issue. Like on older cars you can feel.a shimmy in the steering wheel when cranked on a hard turn.
Of course thet can never duplicate the issue just like the moaning noise going on since first few months...
I didn't check, but I would think would be part of the oil change etc. Top off fluids. Anyway its going in tomorrow for an oil change. Parts not in for the brake issue, which they already did once. Took a screen shot from another thread about that issue to show to them. Wish me luck
Making appointment for oil change and to see if they came up with any solution for moaning noise when backing up. Just made a long trip up north and on way back I felt a drip on my foot. Seems to be where you would see the drip under the bronco. Just checking if anyone else has had this.
Oh...
