Let me start over....I wish the new Bronco sport or the big Bronco was bigger ....because not needing a third row, but needing space for ....masks, gloves, ppe.....purell and isopropyl alcohol.
And then the off-road capability will come in handy if suddenly the roadway is blocked up ahead and...
My 2001 Escape...I mean Iām glad they refreshed it into the Bronco sport....but couldnāt they have stretched it a little? Lol
The nice thing about an older vehicle.....YouTube videos of how to fix stuff....just had the column shifter lose all connection....free movement....plastic part that...
Tellurides are nice, but Kia excels at bang for your buck. One day we may be able to sit in cars at the showroom again...the Telluride is much bigger than the sport....I was hoping for something at least the size of the highlander.
Iāve only ever considered Ford, Toyota, Honda, and now maybe Kia.
Bad experiences with our Dodge minivan axes the good looking Durango....GM products are out, ācause itās a GM...lol. even though they donāt look bad....
I might not be able to wait for the Sport.
I like my old escape interior better. What is with all the caribiner attachments? How about some cheap, but useful netted pockets?
Also, what is the horizontal plastic fin marked by the arrow....is that for a privacy/valuables cover?
oh wait...itās for that silly table on stilts....isnāt it...
It is a little bigger, but yes....not much. Ugh...I might have to switch to another highlander, or an explorer....my kids already complain the Escape is too small.
Now with the Bronco Sport release.... the all-new 2001 Ford Escape
2001
Cargo Volume to Seat 1 (ft³)
64.8
Cargo Volume to Seat 2 (ft³)
33.0
Versus new Bronco Sport: āCargo space shrinks just slightly, to 32.0 cubic feet with the seats up and 65.0 with them down, versus...
Thanks....I just was thinking the usable space is lessened. In my 1st gen escape I can fit a gallon jug below the a/c, radio stack. .....now most cars have the center console where there is a cubby/armrest and then the shifter or even dial shifter....and then there must be a bunch of empty...
I could have used THAT Ford Escape in 2013
Unfortunately I need a bigger vehicle now.
Does anyone know why car manufacturers went away from column shifters in vehicles....taking center console space away?
Is it simply a design ātrendā or is there something about practicalit Iām not seeing?
Ugh not a fan....what is with the accents in cars these days? Our highlander had a gray interior with a brown strip...yuck....bright orange? Not for me. My old escape was different hues of gray, dark gray and black...all in the same color family. I guess Iām just old.
Furthermore....a...
The first Gen Escape is listed as 69ā tall (not sure if that includes the roof rails or not.?),
2010 Escape lost an inch to 67.9ā
....whatās old is new again.
Reminds me of the first escapes. The angle of the windshield even looks just about the same.
Just a WAG...someone more technical could do a better job, image top is flipped (no fuel door).
I added more pictures with the sport a little larger, since the wheelbase should be 2ā more than the old...
