Tellurides are nice, but Kia excels at bang for your buck. One day we may be able to sit in cars at the showroom again...the Telluride is much bigger than the sport....I was hoping for something at least the size of the highlander.

I’ve only ever considered Ford, Toyota, Honda, and now maybe Kia. Bad experiences with our Dodge minivan axes the good looking Durango....GM products are out, ’cause it‘s a GM...lol. even though they don’t look bad.... I might not be able to wait for the Sport.

I like my old escape interior better. What is with all the caribiner attachments? How about some cheap, but useful netted pockets? Also, what is the horizontal plastic fin marked by the arrow....is that for a privacy/valuables cover? oh wait...it’s for that silly table on stilts....isn’t it...

It is a little bigger, but yes....not much. Ugh...I might have to switch to another highlander, or an explorer....my kids already complain the Escape is too small.

Thanks....I just was thinking the usable space is lessened. In my 1st gen escape I can fit a gallon jug below the a/c, radio stack. .....now most cars have the center console where there is a cubby/armrest and then the shifter or even dial shifter....and then there must be a bunch of empty...

I could have used THAT Ford Escape in 2013 :clap: Unfortunately I need a bigger vehicle now. Does anyone know why car manufacturers went away from column shifters in vehicles....taking center console space away? Is it simply a design “trend” or is there something about practicalit I’m not seeing?

The first Gen Escape is listed as 69” tall (not sure if that includes the roof rails or not.?), 2010 Escape lost an inch to 67.9” ....what’s old is new again.

Reminds me of the first escapes. The angle of the windshield even looks just about the same. Just a WAG...someone more technical could do a better job, image top is flipped (no fuel door). I added more pictures with the sport a little larger, since the wheelbase should be 2” more than the old...
