A coolant leak in a Ford EcoBoost engine can potentially lead to a fire due to the possibility of leaked coolant entering the combustion chamber, causing overheating and potential ignition of nearby flammable components, particularly if the leak is significant and not addressed promptly...
Coolant leaks and fire risk:
One of the most concerning issues is a potential for coolant leaks from the cylinder head, which could lead to engine fires due to a design flaw.
Recall related to engine failure:
Ford has issued recalls for certain Maverick models related to potential engine...
quite the opposite - this would represent an amazing opportunity for the free market, competitors will INSTEAD raise prices and increase profits, you can level the market pretty easily and still come out ahead.
also keep in mind, you are thinking “high level” “one car”…in reality, all cars have...
Great for Toyota and Honda! 25% increase gives them room to increase prices by 15%…
prices to the moooonnnn!!!
oh did you guys really think they won’t also take this as a great opportunity to make the most profit? ????
anyone on their 4th water pump needs to find a new dealer - dealers should be following Ford’s updated procedure to do a full flush after the swap for the updated one.
I had to combine data and dig through sources regarding the mix…but even if we were talking 80/20, it’s not a significant increase.
also used autotrader.com but didn’t post those numbers…there 32,912 BS for sale nationwide and about 6k are Badlands…
the sheer proportion of Base, Big Bend and...
very easy to explain - 90% of Sports are 1.5, so in numbers for you:
Ford sold 459,893 units since 2021, so there are:
413,903 1.5s out there vs
45,989 2.0
does this make things clear? ????
yep the 1.5 is fairly efficient !! I was really hoping Ford was going to get the 2.5 hybrid added to the line up….i am likely replacing my Sport with a hybrid AWD Maverick
not caught on it, simply stating facts and market preferences both which are not really anything to argue about…this forum certainly doesn’t represent the majority of us out there.
It sells because that’s where the demand is, in the real Bronco line up you can get the 2.7 right in the middle, with the Outer Banks…because there is demand for such engine there…
in the econobox world, the 1.5 outshines the 2.0 selling 8 to 2 - most people prefer the comfort of the non-BL...
yep! And the market has spoken loudly, the 1.5 sells in droves to the point Ford added the option to equip the Outer Banks with the SAQ package for 2025!!
if the 2.0 was such an amazing engine with soooo much demand, wouldn’t we be seeing it as an option across the range ?! ????
I actually really feel like you guys are the ones that get butt hurt - many of us just bring facts and our own experience to the table - often backed by professional vehicle drivers - If the 2.0 was really that much more special, people would pay the extra $2k over the Outer Banks and it would...
you can get all of that “equipment” in the 1.5 now :-)
also why would you anyone choose to buy the new one, the 2.0 comes with a super expensive particle filter that just adds headache…
also keep in mind, most BS are 1.5, in fact 80% of the sale mix…in the used market the BL and OB go for...
huh?? Not for 2025…the only way to bring the OB close in price is by adding the SQ package but that’s not a one to one comparison because a OB with the SQ package is a better deal than a base BL.
