    We’re on the same page. The Pirelli Scorpion ATR may be an ok tire for other locations but I think I’ll feel safer with my family on a better snow rated tire. Thanks for the reply.

    Thank you for the reply. Interesting to hear of their performance in icy inclines. It’s also stopping that gives me some concern. I’m thinking the softer materials of winter tires in colder temperatures might be beneficial. But I’ll keep the Pirelli’s for summer driving.

    Thank you for the reply. We don’t get that much rain here, so hydroplaning shouldn’t be a major problem but if they are prone to hydroplaning, I’m sure they won’t perform well on ice. “Winter tires it is”. Thank you also for the rim info. I figured they would be interchangeable.
