IMO Just let it run for like 30 seconds for the oil to circulate in Your warm weather put it in gear and drive off and don't worry about it.

OP did You try what I posted above? I started mine today after sitting over night it was 34 degrees and My high cold idle was 1,500 RPM so Yours is the the same as My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB. .

The 2.0 EB is still 250 Horsepower and 277 lb,ft. of Torque with 91 Octane IIRC?

FWIW You have the 1.5. EB not the 2.0 EB the OP has in His Badlands but nice to know that Your high idle drops under 1000 rpm in 45 seconds at -5 C. And FWIW I live in Northeast,Ohio and it's 27 degrees outside right now and it was snowing like crazy about 30 minutes ago with 2-3 inches of snow...

Next time You start it let it run for like 30 seconds put it in gear [reverse or drive] stop before You get out of your driveway put it in park and see what rpm the idle is at?

That's the same thing I've done on the last 3 vehicles F-150,BS BB and the Maverick I have now I got from the same dealership and salesman. Made the deal the day before and picked them up the next day In and Out in less than an 1 hour.

I would say that's not right.I have the same engine in the 2025 XLT AWD Maverick I have now[no longer have a BS] I wait maybe a Minute or so and If it's still at a high idle I just put it in gear and take off. I don't think I've ever timed it to see how long it takes for the high idle to drop back.

What was the outside Temp? Two and a Half minutes in the cold weather is about right IMO. But when it's warmed up it should drop back under 1,000 rpm.

I've bought the last 4 or 5 Vehicles from the same Salesman and He's been great every time. I really like the Dealership He works at because He was the only person I talked with and did all the dealing. And no managers were involved like some dealerships.

I no longer have My 2023 BS BB but have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick now with the 2.0 MPC and have also noticed the High Cold Idle. The Maverick exhaust note is also kind of different during the cold high idle is Yours the same? And also what kind of Mileage are You getting non Highway?

Nice Bronco but IMO the Big Broncos are overpriced New or Used. The Bronco Sports are also overpriced IMO as the 2023 BS BB I had the MSRP was $33,135.00 and the MSRP was $31,510.00 on the 2025 XLT AWD Maverick I have now with the 2.0 EB.

I no longer have My 2023 BS BB but have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick now with the 2.0 EB and have about 3,200-3,300 miles on it and My Oil Life is showing 49%.
