there are also wheel companies that will cut out the face of the wheel, and weld in a bolt pattern of your choice.
we did that on my dad’s 69 dart gt. they even added width to it. and its strong, seen the 1/4 mile multiple times.
just another option.
its something im seriously considering on my...
dude, i had an 04 srt4. and you are right, stock airbox is stellar. man i wish i kept that car. that thing was a bullet, stage 3 with toys. dynod 393 hp 411 tq.
on the bronco sport, i honestly wouldnt touch the intake system. warranty plus its not really a performance car.
youll be good with either choice. many people run both types you listed. i have KO2s and yes theres road noise, but its not terrible. i honestly think the 245s are quieter than the 225s. but the 245 look way better.
either way, those are both good choices.
agreed 100% - Ford shop is probably the way to go.
my problem is, i can't leave a car alone. i love to wrench and mod. red seal collision mechanic by trade, plus access to all the tools and shop i could possibly dream of.
i went from 225 to 245 in the KO2s. i dunno if its my head messing with me, but it feels alot smoother for sure. braking and take off you can tell it works a tad harder, but i dont drive fast in the sport. got a plymouth roadrunner for that :D
the kit looks super solid and well built. pics do no justice.
the 4 holes i gotta drill are no worry to me, nor shaving the strut. its so minimal i cant see any issues. knock on wood of course.
upgraded to 245/65/17 this past weekend.
