I know this is a thread revival... but have you heard of the Wilco offroad hitchgate max and hitchswing. They're made to handle the weight on a swing arm. Though now I am torn between getting Badlands with or without moonroof(BL package).

Hello from Houston, wanted a capable car for a bit of Overlanding... except my kids are still quite young.. and my wife isn't an avid bugs person.. so camping will be a work in progress. I myself love hiking and camping.

Tempting... I really don't want to drive all the way there to get a car though. I will mull over this suggestion however. Thanks.

Maybe we're unlucky in Houston... the ones I've talked to don't seem to be very knowledgeable. Reading their BBB complaints scares me a bit, but all of them have complaints.

Thanks for the info Chris. I called Sterling McCall Ford.. they said they'd honor X-plan if Ford offers it.. and they do not require additional down payment.. Should I be getting this in writing?

Kent do you have a list of those dealerships? I'm In TX looking to put down an order.
