Ford has redesigned the Escape...slightly for the better. In 2020, we bought a used 2017 Escape for our daughter. I hated it. Glad she got rid of it in 2023.

Yep. Stripped crossbar screws make a really annoying rattling sound. It is certainly a problem with the original Ford crossbars. Once we located the source of the rattling sound and took off the crossbars, the rattling stopped. My BS is now sans crossbars until I buy a different brand. There...
