If you are in a dead zone for apple maps/google maps, it still shows the map, route, directions, etc. I live in Colorado with plenty of dead zones and as long as you loaded/imitated in a service area where it can download maps it will carry you through dead zones.

Mine is still in Mexico........ Built 2/16 and hasn't moved yet. Shows expected delivery 3/28-4/2. I did read where Ford changed the company it contracts with to transport their vehicles, so maybe that's what's holding everyone up. Who knows..........
