Wow, that white text is heavy!
I've been doing comparisons on Tire Rack, and have run into a couple oddities too. Like it shows the Falken AT3W is heavier in 225 (33) than it is in 235 (31).
It also shows the 235 Falken AT-Trails weighing in at 36 lbs,5 more than the AT3w's. Seems fishy...
Yeah, that skid plate is a pain to remove, for sure. I went out to harbor freight after the first oil change and bought a cheap impact wrench for the next time. That made the second time a little quicker.
The screws up near the bumper are the stupidest... Weird size and kind of flimsy. I've got...
I second the new cable solution. I've had the same thing happen to me a few times on different vehicles (not yet on the BS) and have gone through quite a few cables.
I really thought when USB-C took over, we'd have far fewer issues with crappy cables, or cables that stopped working...
Offroadish, like forest service roads. I'm not talking about trying to go 10 mph or less down hills, so crawl control isn't what I'd want. Plus, crawl control engages brakes, and my entire goal on long downhill stretches is to give the brakes a brake.
I'm just trying not to drive like a maniac...
I can tell you from experience, even with manual mode on Badlands, you don't get the option to slow down a lot downhill with gears.
I've been in a number of backroad situations, going fairly steep downhill and manual would not even allow 1st gear, it won't let me go down past 2nd, even when it...
I'd be all for a plug-in hybrid type vehicle -- one that charges just enough to commute...
But a full-on electric vehicle? Doesn't suit my lifestyle. I like to go places where charging-stations are few and far between.
That said, if Ford wants to lend me an F-150 Lightning to test out for a...
If you haven't already, you should definitely try and get them to honor the warranty even though you're 2k over. If you talk to the right person, or maybe if you're persistent enough, it's possible they could still help you out.
I actually had the transmission on my work vehicle (2015 Ford...
I asked Ford to rotate my tires when they were fixing one of my tires a few months ago and they just switched fronts for backs, no crisscrossing.
Then, just the other day, I decided to rotate the tires myself and I did x-pattern. I guess between Ford's rotation and my own I'm pretty close to...
I could get use out of an electric car at home, like for commuting, errands and whatnot.
But as a rental? When I travel, I'm generally driving and exploring a lot, mostly out in the country and an electric car would be such an inconvenience.
I think if I reserved a Hyundai compact car and...
You get to try those Wildpeaks out in the snow/ice today?
I still have the Pirelli's and had my first experience on white roads driving into work. No problems to report, but I was driving pretty carefully -- I didn't attempt to test out any limits or anything.
I need to find a big parking...
Sorry for the tough luck, and glad you're alright.
This makes me wonder: Does the parking brake on the Bronco Sport have any use in a situation like this? Obviously if it was a regular old e-brake handle, we could use that to brake in emergencies. But does our parking brake on/off switch...
I've never checked, but does Slippery mode lock it into 4wd? If not, maybe try locking 4wd when you get onto slippery roads. It might slip on the back wheels as a result of sudden torque to the rear wheels when it detects loss of traction (it still shouldn't be doing this, it's not like this is...
They also had an earlier video comparing some other popular tires people like around here (KO2, Wildpeak and Geolander). I was entertained and possibly informed!
If it's really dumping rain outside, I like to get into full rain gear, fill up a bucket of soapy water, wash the cars and let the rain rinse it for me.
That said, once it starts raining in Washington, washing gets a little pointless because it gets dirty again just driving around. So far the...
I'm definitely going to install this. My 2008 no-frills (not even power-windows) Dodge Ram even has a hydraulic hood lift like this.
The first time I opened the Sport's hood I was surprised how old-fashioned it was, considering all the other bells and whistles everywhere.
