  1. Anyone else missing the panel under the dash above the passenger side fuse box where the floor air ducts are.

Interior Noise Insulation is listed in the '22 Order Guide for the Badlands models. I assume the hood insulation might be included as it seems Badlands owners are the only ones consistently reporting having it from the factory. I've never been convinced that lower trims are supposed to have...
  2. AT vs Winter Tires, Real World Experience

They may not honor the warranty if the tires are used outside of their recommended temperature range. This is due to the soft rubber compound overheating in warm weather conditions.
  3. Review from OFF-ROADEO Moab Bronco Sport 1st Class 5/6/22

Yes, thanks Brian! I called and confirmed yesterday.
  4. AT vs Winter Tires, Real World Experience

    Here's that thread: https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/aftermarket-steel-wheels-for-bronco-sport.1565/
  5. AT vs Winter Tires, Real World Experience

Keep in mind that snow tires are not recommended in warm weather due to their soft compound, according to Michelin:

We're headed to the BS Off-Roadeo in Moab...
  7. Review from OFF-ROADEO Moab Bronco Sport 1st Class 5/6/22

Hey @BrianOntheTrail, when I originally signed up for the Sunday May 29 class, the start time was listed as 1:00 PM. The email I got last week states the start time as 11:00 AM. Can you clarify for us?
  8. Acast Podcast app is going away

I agree about iHeart being buggy. I have to start a podcast manually on my phone before starting the vehicle. Otherwise the iHeart vehicle app wants to start the podcast over from the beginning. But iHeart on my phone works fine. I've not been able to solve the issue and eventually quit using...
  9. Headwind vs Tailwind

To be honest I'm not really sure. I commute 50 miles round trip per day, most of that rural 2 lane with few stops, so I don't really have an idea of what city-only mileage would be.
  10. Headwind vs Tailwind

I filled up yesterday after 300+ miles of two lane @70 MPH or less and clocked in at 27.7 MPG which is our best tank to date with just under 5,000 miles on the odometer. Generally speaking, we are getting 25-27 consistently.
  11. Review from OFF-ROADEO Moab Bronco Sport 1st Class 5/6/22

I originally got an email from Ford when they opened up reservations for Moab. Maybe because we ordered our BL and had my email, as opposed to some who may have purchased off a lot?
  12. Rear tow hook

Well I have been a tow truck driver, and do a lot of off-road (mainly snow wheeling) with off road recovery in my '70 Bronco. It would be helpful to decide which type of recovery we are talking about - the topic keeps switching. Black ice into a ditch is a completely different circumstance...
  13. Rear tow hook

They provided a very good recovery point - the hitch. Use whatever means of attachment you want. As stated it could be as simple as a hitch pin or some sort of elaborate rotating shackle. Should Ford provide a strap too? Most people don't have those either. If people are going to venture off...
  14. Rear tow hook

And screw-in thingies are not really off road recovery points, which I thought was the point.
  15. Rear tow hook

Looks like a good solution...people in the recovery world are getting away from using hard accessories. Some pretty innovative stuff out there now.
  16. Rear tow hook

This is my third Bronco and none came with recovery points on the rear. My previous two did not come with hitches or even tow hooks on the front. People who wanted that stuff put it on themselves. Come to think of it, none of the vehicles I've owned over the last 32 years came with one of...
  17. Cluster F*** (flaw)

So I tried it. As previously mentioned, I am 6'2" and I was in fact able to get the seat all the way up. At that point I was staring through the top 4" of the windshield - I would never see stop lights while sitting at that height except at a distance. It was really awkward. If your seat is...
  18. Cluster F*** (flaw)

I'm also 6'2" and can't imagine driving with the seat all the way up. I didn't think that was even possible, but now I'm gonna have to try. Normally I have mine all the way down.
  19. Bronco Off-Roadeo Biased?

Good advice there. We've been talking about going to Moab for years so this event finally gives us a good excuse to go and is within reasonable driving distance. We'd not consider going to Texas or another more distant destination though. It's also not free due to the fact that a spouse or...
