would love to here results from anyone who has done the tune on the 1.5. street manners, off road manners, mileage etc.
I've done the cosmetics, redid the speakers, bigger tires and leveling kit etc. now just wanting to maybe do a little to the hp. its my daily so not looking to get crazy but...
I really thought it would do the trick being cerwin vega and all.. it was horrible ?
i went the tap into rear speakers method.. it seemed the easiest and cheapest route. But i dont blame ya for not wanting to ?
Couldn't have said it better myself. Great reads and PIGPEN, God bless you sir. God never said shoulda, coulda, woulda. He said "ya must"
Praying for Gods will for you.
Just a quick update.. its sucks!!!
I already pulled it back out and shipping it back to amazon. Don't get the cerwin vega 12" wheel sub. it sounds so drony and the bass doesn't hit.. it just vibrates. very very disappointed.
Since I already ran the wires, I'm just going to put my Alpine type...
I'm worried about getting to the wires for the rear sub. I do plan on looking into it but my default as of now was just get the rear doors.
I have taken off the door panels when I installed the new component speakers and it was very easy. If I can access the sub wires.. I will use them.
So my 12" cerwin wheel well sub came last night. hoping.. hoping to have some time to install it this weekend.
I'm going to pull my speaker wires from the rear doors. My 12v power from the battery and not sure where I'm going to pull the aux power from. Any suggestion anyone?
If I pull from...
that makes me want to look under my rear seat and see how much room i have under there.
not sure what route i want to go with but i'm doing something.
Thanks for sharing
ya the sound of my door speakers is great but they are not very loud and lacking in bass. I'm sure a small amp would be just enough to get the component speakers singing.
please update after the 10" sub install. where is the location your putting it? I like the idea of the spare tire well to...
Been reading about these speaker set ups that fit in your spare tire well. Has anyone tried them or know of them? I have already replaced all the component speakers but I'm thinking I'm going to need an amp as the new speakers just aren't getting pushed enough from the factory radio.
Also if...
I'm wanting to do something different for the factory sub. Not wanting to pull off that huge back right panel to see what's under there. Just wondering if anyone has done this or know any info on it. Is there an amp with the speaker.. is it powered by the radio etc. Any info would be appreciated.
I changed out my door speakers when i brought it home from the dealership. I'm happier with it. crisper and clearer.
I'm getting close to pulling off the rear panel to see what I can do about that sub in the back. I'd like to try and stuff a costume fiberglass enclosure plus a better am back...
Yup i pulled off bottom side of the end link and the too wiggles in the hole. I already ordered a set of the hrg links this morning but do you think I should just throw on a lock washer and keep using these till they break and keep the new ones coming as back up?
ya I didn't research anything .. I'll admit lol I bought most of the stuff before I even brought it home. The night before I was to pick it up at the dealership.. ordered a bunch of stuff. Plus... I am completely new to off road stuff. I've been into vettes and porsches for the last 10yrs and...
So I took the bronco to Holly oaks orv park this weekend.. just hit 1000 miles so figured it was time to get it dirty lol
The bronco did amazingly.. climbed the steepest hill there with ease. It didn't spin other then a few quick blips when it was transferring grip from one tire to the other...
