The two "dirt roads" I've taken my FE on I bet most if not all the other SUVs on the list would struggle. I think the rear locking capability sets the Badlands and FEs in a category they haven't come up with yet.
I put down a deposit for a Badlands at local dealer in January. In April I sent out emails to multiple local dealers (100 mile radius), Internet sales manager contacted me prior to business hours and sold me a First Edition. Everything done online, went to dealer; 10 minutes in finance office...
Hope it was at least a 2021 rebuild You still have a lot of warranty left so I would not hesitate taking it back to the dealer at the slightest rough running or unusual vibration. Wonder if they could upgrade the 1.5 for the 2.0?
I was in sand on a dirt road, put my First Edition into Sand Mode and the back end was swinging out like I was drifting, so I think Traction Control is disabled in sand mode. Slow is ok, but fast in turns not so much.
I feel I totally got lucky. Even though I paid sticker. I got $710 off which I guess was some form of rebates, financing was .09% too which is nice. Those who put money down on a build should be locked in for the amount listed on your build. If there was special financing included with your...
Tried to trade in my 2014 Focus ST with 56K miles, but the dealer only offered me $10K. The salesperson I was working with suggested I take it to Carmax which I did and got $13k. Came and picked me up in the Bronco I purchased. A little extra work for a $3K difference was worth it. Carmax was...
Have a Yaesu FTM400 kept in a plastic ammo can. Drilled out holes for cables etc. Kept portable as it is also my base station. Had stereo shop run power wire through the firewall. Also have a portable Midland CB that can be used as walkie or connected to power point with external antenna.
Where I live the speed limit is 70 on the interstate and everyone driving 80+. Yesterday I was driving route 66 and had to pass slower cars a couple of times. I came from a Focus ST and have to say the 2 liter in the Bronco is impressive. Not missing the standard transmission in traffic jams...
I did a 3-mile dirt road in the desert and drove a 30 mile stretch of route 66. It got very dirty from dust and the grill caught a lot of bugs. Be nice to get a screen or something for the grill when highway driving.
Got my Sport First Edition at MSRP from the dealer here in SOCAL. Did all of the paperwork online, spent 10 minutes in the Finance dept. drove it home. I also didn't get the Cross Bars, but when I called the dealer they shipped them out the next day.
driving from the dealer after purchase. Got hit with a small rock that chipped the hood and also caused a little nick in the windshield. It is small and not bad so I think I'm good for now. Got a hood protector installed to help mitigate any future "small" rocks. But it isn't going to stop the...
I have been ordering stuff on Amazon. Got the recovery kit with a tow strap and hitch pull bar. Fire extinguisher, first aid kit, battery jump box, tent, and sleeping bag. Shovel next on my list. I used OffRoad club forums to see their required equipment. Not planning any overnight stuff but...
Driving home from the dealer(Just bought it) I heard the rock.. didn't notice until next day chip on the hood and a small spot on the windshield. I got touch up paint for the chip on the hood. Just to keep from getting rust and it is small and difficult to see unless you're looking for it...
