Currently in CO. Took this pic up north of Pagosa Springs near Pagosa Peak and Williams Creek Reservoir. My son and DIL are here this week, so we have his lifted Rubicon for the tough stuff. He has a little more clearance than I do.
My son recently bought a base BS for an employee to drive as a company car. He had been driving an AWD Edge, but couldn't find one. Says he will buy more if they ever get numbers to the point he can get fleet pricing.
We were up on a forest road in Hinsdale County, CO, yesterday and ran...
I told my son about this dealer delay in service. He manages a fleet of thousands of trucks, many Ford F350's. He replied "I know. I face this every day." He says part of the problem is lack of service employees. It seems no business can staff properly nowadays. Good luck with your unit...
Given the current production constraints, it's not a good time to attempt a new model launch. I suspect we will see a Bronco truck if times ever return to "normal." Probably a wise move on Ford's part.
I have an identical unit and had thought I would put 245 KO2's on it when it arrived. That was back in Feb, and it still hasn't arrived, but that is another story. The Wildpeak AT3's drive so good on the highway, I didn't want to take away from that, so I've left them.
To the original...
Ford absolutely needs a green in an outdoorsy vehicle. But, neither one of the new colors turn me on. I like the Rapid Red better than the Hot Pepper Red. Sometimes you have to see a vehicle in person to get a sense of the true colors.
Yes. The traction control can be turned off/on with a button on the lower left of the GOAT control. It can be identified by a vehicle with wavy lines behind it. There is no light in the button, but a message will appear on the instrument panel when pressed, showing off/on.
These Ford rants are wearing me out. In case these folks haven't noticed the pandemic has produced shortages everywhere. I've been trying to get a broken window in my home replaced since May. I'm lucky to have a BS since April. I have another on order since 2-16, but I'm not online...
This thread really makes me nervous, too. Heading for CO soon for a month. I doubt I''m going to try any water crossings as we will be remote and alone. No plug-in connection should be below the advertised water crossing depth. Ford needs to get on this, but then there are a lot things they...
Decisions, decisions. Which shall I drive today. Headed to a regional police combat pistol match. Three day match, today is the OK State Championship. Border Patrol, Customs and ICE have teams here. Some good shooters. I am the photographer.
I think Ford is looking beyond pandemic shortages. The American auto industry has over-produced for years trying to keep plants running and secure market share at the cost of lower profits. They still propose to have a 50-60 day supply on dealer lots.
Looks like Ford is going to try something transformational in auto marketing.
Ford Moving toward Build-to-Order, Away from Packed Dealer Lots (msn.com)
Sounds like a good option, no one enjoys the current car buying process. Should be good competition for lowest price, but dealers will still...
I still have a BL on order since Feb. 16 and put the cargo management system in it. Dealer found an identical unit, except it lacked the cargo system. I haven't missed it one bit. It's a cheap and flimsy add. The BL has tons of good features and I'm pefectly happy with mine.
In most class action suits the plaintiffs don't get enough to buy dinner and the lawyers make millions. People always have the option of not doing business with a company if they don't like their prices or policies.
