I fought to get the charge for the cross rails removed because it is listed in the xplan build and price as included on FE (optional on Badlands). Didn’t help that the original xplan tool had a $300 incentive that disappeared right when production started at the end of October so I was already...
I picked up my Area 51 FE last Wednesday and it has the Cross Rails. The window sticker had it listed as a Dealer Installed Option but the website clearly shows it as included on the FE and optional on the Badlands. I called Ford marketing and they agreed with me but said I would have to work it...
I called Ford Marketing this morning and provided my VIN and they said my car was delivered to the dealership last night at 11:59pm - it shipped three weeks ago. I haven’t heard anything from the dealership and the tracking website still shows it in transit. I get better and more accurate...
My window sticker also has it listed under Dealer Installed Options which is why I will be having a conversation when it arrives. Not sure how they can argue with the Build & Price and all of the other documents that clearly state it is included.
I was originally told by the dealership that you can add the Cargo Management System post production but I don't believe that is necessarily true as the inner panels would need to be changed out so I would assume that would incur a greater cost than the $110 listed. It became available before...
I was afraid you were going to say that as my window sticker shows a charge for them but the build and price shows the following:
Roof Rail Crossbar, 2.0L
Included
2021 Bronco Sport
FIRST EDITION

That is correct, I had to call the dealership to request the VIN. I have gone to the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking website and entered the VIN and noticed the status update a couple days ago with a message stating:
Scheduled for Production
Your order is being manufactured at one of our factories...
I also agree with everything RonSwanson said.... Assist + would have been nice but not a deal breaker. Still trying to figure out the premium price if you can build the BL + BL with Assist +, tow package, etc for less than the FE - decals can't be that expensive.
I will add that my only email...
Probably keep the FE unless I really don't like it when it is finally built/delivered. It is disappointing but I'm really not surprised as the literature from Ford never listed it as standard or as an option.
Btw, I also ordered an Area 51 FE on August 7 but my build date isn't until January 4...
I reserved my Area 51 First Edition on 7/13 within two hours of it going online - would have been sooner but the site kept crashing while I was making my reservation. After I was able to convince my dealership Ford was in fact allowing people to convert reservations to orders, I placed my order...
So much for FE being scheduled first... my Area 51 FE is scheduled for 1/4 according to the email I received from Ford on 10/22. Still haven’t heard anything from the dealership - shocking. My order was placed 8/7 because my dealership didn’t know Ford was taking orders sooner. What a cluster...
Better yet, why isn't Co-Pilot 360+ even an option on the "top of the line" First Edition, shouldn't it be standard on the loaded version with a price premium???
