And I quote the tech/what I got on the paperwork:
“Test drove vehicle,
no concern noted. Vehicle isexhibiting normal turbocharger and engine
operating noise.
Verified no DIC's. Noise from turbo after throttle is closed is from bypass valve,
which is operating as desired to relieve
pressurized...
Update, I had a Ford Master Tech ride in my Bronco Sport Badlands this Morning, around in the Ford parking lot. He heard the noise and confirmed it may not be normal. I even showed him the videos I posted. He told me it sounds like the "turbo blow off-valve".... He said he would go over...
The kit will come with the colored paint and some clear coat. Both come in little jars. It will also come with a variety of brushes and tooth pics. I recommend cleaning the area off first with rubbing alcohol, then take a tooth pic and dip it in the paint....carefully and slowly dab the paint...
Touch Up Paint | ScratchesHappen--- direct link to the paint.
And the dealer would not notice this repair, never in all my new cars I've traded in, have they looked the vehicle over, AT ALL! Maybe just a quick walk around, that's it. And if you get paint that matches correctly, it will be...
Mans that sucksd! BUT......That will easily touch up with some paint, I personally would not stress taking it to a body shop. The scratch portion also looks like it will buff out. I use www.scratcheshappen.com.
Yeah I agree, they are noisy engines. Have you heard a KIA OR A Subaru at idle LOL.
The noise I’m talking about in this thread is waaay different. Ironically enough, I just sent that guy a couple of my videos because I’m curious what he says. He seems extremely knowledgeable!!
Yes the cable is still attached, mine was built 03/22, so it supposedly has the "updated" part.
I don't go in till June 15, and yes when the noise is acting up, you can reproduce it by revving up the RPMS and when they come back down to 1500, it will make the noise. So hopefully they can figure...
Yep I'm wondering if it's that too...valve noise that has to do with a certain engine load?? ......I had a 2021 Acura prior with a 2.0L turbo and it also would make some weird, almost straining noises under load, like when climbing a uphill driveway....but nothing like this...
I am impressed...
Yeah mine is doing it now in all modes, usually after a long drive like you said. But when I put the transmission in neutral, and rev the engine, it will still make the noise at around 1500 RPM which leads me to believe its not the Transmission??? Just from the engine?? I will have the tech...
2022 Badlands owner, I've had it 1 month today! As others have stated, I am also extremely impressed with the build quality of the Ford Bronco Sport. Panel gaps, paint quality, trim, interior trim and dash pieces ect...all done 100%. NO RATTLES OR SQUEAKS. I do think the upper door panels would...
Oh yeah I agree those are totally normal noises, mine does that too but trust me if yours starts making this noise while driving around 10 mph you will notice lol…. But regardless if it is an actual problem or not…. I am totally happy with my purchase and excited to have my Bronco Sport...
Update if anyone is actually reading this, I can't edit the original thread..... the noise is now starting to happen in Normal mode in the same situations... just not as prevalent/loud. Sent an email with these videos to my dealer, the service writer wrote back and stated their one Badlands they...
Congrats! Numbers sound like a great deal! I paid MSRP, but like as with yours, mine went up almost 3K in MSRP if I was to reorder another one. As a fellow bronze smoke owner, GREAT CHOICE! I just got mine a few weeks ago and at 377 miles it started making this noise..... keep me posted if yours...
CONGRATS!! My badlands came with an hood blanket, no engine cover....the cover only took a few days to come in....been waiting for a month and no ETA on the passenger side missing air deflector and lower dash piece......
Do you think the hood blanket helped to quiet things down??
