?♂️ Do we need our vehicles to reflect our genders? Or just buy based on what looks good and has the desired functionality?
This comes from someone who doesn't feel the need to impress others with material objects, mind you...
No..?? The facilities and equipment do not exist. All facilities and equipment that are capable of producing semiconductors are in use, and they take years to build, which is in process, that's the whole point. What part of that don't you understand? It literally does take years, not weeks...
Wait what?
Semiconductor production is very complicated and scheduled far in advance. The auto industry gave up its production slots early in the pandemic; those were quickly consumed by other customers. Semiconductor demand has only increased during the pandemic with things like remote work...
Yeah, they get paid at a lower rate for warranty work, which some don't like. Some dealers are already overbooked so they don't really have the capacity for it. They'd rather sell high margin (high labor rate) work to their loyal customers who keep coming back. They should still do the work...
Yep. I picked up a BSBB that just hit a local dealer's lot the Saturday prior. The dealer honored A-Plan (employee pricing), the only thing added was a set of wheel locks for like $60 which I'm okay with, and sadly there were no rebates (no $1k custom order bonus cash) as I needed to replace a...
Yep, dealers generally find out about the new incentives about the same time we do. So they can't really tell you what's coming, but they can pressure you that the incentives can go away at any time, and you don't want to miss out. ;)
For sure, expect them to continue some form of incentive...
Not sure on the timing, but yeah, it's been ongoing for a while. I don't believe there have been any gaps but the amount has changed over time. Been at $1k for a while though.
The dealer should be able to look into the system. The $1k should be either tied to your name or the VIN. The system will show them what incentives are available. I believe the $1k custom order bonus cash was in effect in December, through Jan 3 before it was extended.
Ford has been running a $1000 incentive (rebate) on custom ordered vehicles, excluding some models like Big Bronco, Maverick, Mustang Mach-E, and F-150 Lightning. Since it's from Ford and passed through the dealer to you, it's separate from the price you negotiate.

Sounds like a lie to con the gullible. Which it is. My dealer made money at employee pricing (A-Plan), albeit a lot less than the sleazy dealers insisting on $4-10k over MSRP.
No, per the message displayed, the engine is on to charge the battery. If it was due to outside air temp, climate, etc, that would be the message displayed. The battery is lower than it should be, which precludes the start-stop function from operating.
Unless you value what they plan to add to the vehicle in the "desert protection package" and whatnot nonsense, then yes, you are getting ripped off. $499 for the "doc fee" is also really high..
If all you want is the vehicle itself, tell the dealer in no uncertain terms that you just want the...
It's there because the payment calculator defaults to leasing. If you click the calculator and switch to Finance, the Acquisition Fee is no longer shown at the bottom of the page.
Wrong. That's a lease. Ford Credit Red Carpet Lease program includes acquisition and disposition fees (latter if you don't buy that car or buy/lease another).
He probably meant that your order was scheduled right away. Scheduling is a weekly process (some weeks there's no scheduling due to production delays or other reasons). Not all orders are scheduled right away - some have to wait weeks or even months to get their build week/date.
