Your report is exactly why I asked (in another thread on here) if I should wait until after my vacation to get the recall done - because I don't need any trouble on the drive to the beach or while I"m there. I'm thinking your post is a good reason to wait until I get back.
So if you have a vacation planned in 2 weeks and you're driving the BS on said vacation (about a 3-4 hour drive to get there), would you have your recall done before or after vacay? Don't need any problems on the trip......
The vehicle I had before my BS was a Mazda CX5 and it had zero recalls. And before that was a Mazda 3 - no recalls. Before that was an Acura RSX - no recalls. I personally am not THAT upset about it but I didn't expect it? Especially from Ford? Several people asked if I was sure I wanted to...
I'm in a 2021 Outerbanks and I just LOVE mine. It's had a bunch of problems (mostly the recalls and TSB's) but since the "whale" back-up noise was fixed (fingers crossed), it's a much better experience. I'm about to bite the bullet on an extended warranty because I would like to keep it for...
So I bought my emblems on Etsy at IttyBittyCoDesigns and I like them. May be bigger than some like but I think they look great! Got them in gloss black!
That's funny.... My husband and son drove to NY to pick up a "decommissioned" police car that still had a bunch of police car equipment on it. They didn't keep it long because they found people going exactly or under the speed limit around them!
I absolutely understand that and hope they can recoup the cost by proving that corporate's fix wasn't even close. My understanding is that this "part" that was so hard to find was the size of a half dollar. Not sure what it was supposed to do but whatever it was supposed to do, it didn't do...
I understand that too - but this noise was just ridiculous. Why it took this long to figure out if they just replace the brake pads and rotors, the problem would be solved is puzzling to me. Except that everything has to go through it's steps to get approved. Certainly not customer friendly...
So - my "appointment" (see above) was just a "ghost" appointment so they could have it on record for Ford to order the parts. In late December I received 2 more appointment emails - for March of 2024 and December of 2024. I immediately contacted the dealer and protested but they still couldn't...
I finally reached out to the owner of the Auto Group where I purchased my BS and his Assistant reached back. I sent her a video of the noise my BS makes when backing up and her response was "OMG!". She promised to have the owner look into it when he was back at the dealership on Friday...
Thanks, Rkers. I've had the TSB work and had it in again after that and it's def worse than it was to begin with. I've tried and tried to get someone to do something - ceramic brakes (which I'm told Ford doesn't have for the BS) - whatever but I just keep getting told it's normal. It's. Not...
I love my BS. But I HATE the backup noise. I've read a lot of responses about it and the ones that mention just "living with it" are, imo, ridiculous. I have a little over 18k on my 2021 and no vehicle should sound like this. I went in for the "fix" which did make it worse. There is no...
