I added the Ford Accessories flares that use urethane, 3m tape and clamps to attach. I had ppf installed at delivery. For the flare install I scored the ppf at the flares edge and peeled it off so that the adhesive would bond to the fender.
This made a huge improvement. I noticed that every minor “brush” with the floor left a mark. I used Chemical Guys VRP which is a gel and longer lasting than a spray. I did the whole floor and I can tell you it’s a 100% improvement. No issue with slipping as the mats lock in place.
I look at it this way...it probably served a purpose for NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) reasons at some point. Probably lowered cabin decibels to some degree when the A/C was cranked...but when one can sell everything they make, have people lined up out the door for the product...one can make...
This part is not a constraint piece. I mean look at it…it’s a simple piece of black molded plastic with material bonded to it. Couldn’t be easier to source anywhere around the world.
This is pure de-contenting by the manufacturer plain and simple.
The hope is most won’t notice or care.
I too have replaced all tail light bulbs with no issues…maybe I got lucky, but used all different brands (all of which advertised compatibility) from Amazon. It has been a month now.
Well, in a two day spa treatment, the BoxerBronco had paint correction followed by a CQuartz UK 3.0 Ceramic coating. We decided on the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform and installed after the roof was coated. We need to find some dirt…now that it will fall off with a spray!
