This post almost makes me want to sell my Bronco Sport Badlands. I mean it suffers from the dreaded "Hood Buldge Glare" and now I find out I added gorilla nostrils to it??? I'm just flabbergasted. Right now the only reason I'm going to keep it is because I at least have a front camera. Whew!
Once again it's all a matter of one's own opinion. I took a quick picture from the interior view this summer. (No I didn't pull it out of the garage) My wife and I actually like it better. So it's just all in what you like, but overall we are very happy with the scoop and the overall look.
I understand. It was just an over reaction on my part to something that I personally felt was ridiculous. A Ford parts worker does not make them in any way a knowledgeable individual. I have dealt with several that unfortunately didn't have a clue what they were doing. So I guess I can't...
That may be the reason I put on the non functional hood scoop. To allow more air in the over heated engine compartment. Maybe believe that one also....my engine has never overheated! What a bunch of crap you are being told!!!
As far as the hood movement, I have a Badlands model Bronco Sport and it never has suffered from this "Hood Movement". My personal opinion is maybe there is no vibration due to the hood insulation from the factory with the 2.0 engine. See in picture.
I don't know if you could purchase this...
My wife and I installed the hoodscoop after there were initial installation issues. We contracted the manufacturer and they walked me through removing it without damage. It went perfectly. We then followed the instructions they provide and did not have any issues correctly installing the...
Depends on what the sound is actually like. If it's like a pig squealing or like a pig oinking sound then no mine doesn't make that type of noise. Actually now that I think of it mine sounds perfectly fine! You don't live next to a pig farm do you? ??
I don't know the break down of models of Bronco sports but here are Fords, September production numbers for them and overall number built in 2021 so far.
Yeah, haha....hilarious! I must just be lazy or can't reach 4 more inches.
Maybe, I was just sharing how to install this for those that may also want to.
Maybe, My wife is thrilled I put this on as it terrified her having the Bronco shut off when she came to a stop light if she forgot to...
Sorry to hear you had a hard time with this. I will say one thing that did help me was a stubby straight screwdriver pushing up on the tab when I was pulling the plug out. I'm not sure if it helped or I got lucky but mine pulled right out. Thankfully.
Have to agree on this. Went from having a rough and tough Badlands to a " toot toot"? Did I hear that right "toot toot" .....well I guess I'll never use the horn is what I thought!
Installation for the Hood Sccop and Rear Spoiler is both adhesive tape and glue. There are instructions with each on how to place and apply for install.
The Hood Scoop I just took to my local paint shop, they pulled my paint code and painted my scoop for me. 100 bucks walked out the door...
I do not think it is an actual option you could order. I think it is only factory installed on all of the First Edition and Badlands models that have the 2.0 engine in them. I did not choose this when I order mine it came with it.
I can't answer this. Being my wife's vehicle it doesn't see a whole lot of mileage. She hasn't complained about the rear window being dirty. It definitely stays cleaner in the rear than our Ford Edge ever did I do know this.
