I could imaging. I’m ready to walk away from my Bronco. I’m giving Ford one more week, I can’t lose any more value in my trade in than I already have.
33 days later and still in the heights yard. At least it has a friend now. It’s been there long enough that my dealers red Bronco sport has caught up with mine and awaiting a hauler
If you can get the rail car info from Ford Chat you can trace it that way. I tracked my rail car all the way to the Chicago Heights yard even though Ford chat had no clue where it was. Once it got to the Heights United Road updated the car from inactive to pending pickup so I had that...
When I called United road, that is what they told me. They can’t ship the car to my dealer because Ford has put a hold on it. Ford customer service has also confirmed that Ford has put a hold on the car, but no reason for the hold has been given.
So, that’s probably not the case. Mine did the same thing when it crossed the border. Ford chat swore that it was in Nogales for a week. If you got the rail car info, your Bronco is going to still be on that car. There is no physical way to offload a vehicle in Nogales
I understand the driver shortage, but Ford is physically preventing these Bronco sports from being shipped from the rail yard even if they have truck drivers for them.
It looks like Ford is now holding back deliveries from dealers at the rail yards. I know of at least four in the Chicago Heights yard and now one was mentioned on hold in the Memphis yard. Already called Ford and they had no clue as to why it’s being held back. Anyone else having their Bronco...
That’s interesting that yours was put on hold too. I wonder if I’m that happened to a bunch of us. I know it happened to at least three other Bronco Sports in the same Chicago heights yard. My dealer is trying to get it released from United road and I’m planning on going up to Chicago Heights...
Not good news I’m afraid. The Bronco was put on hold by Ford, but the stupid thing is no one knows why. So I’m afraid it’s lost in a logistical black hole. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point
I’m going to call tomorrow. Quick Google search says that usually means United Road just subcontracted out the delivery to a third party. They did that to four cars at other stores in my area too. So fingers crossed I’ll get it this week.
I don’t know what it means, but after three weeks in the Heights yard United road changed my status from pending pickup to on hold. Hopefully that’s not bad news
