What I like about the Bronco Sport is that it is a nicely capable swiss army knife of a vehicle. Not the biggest, fastest, most luxurious, most off-roadish, or most anything, but enough of everything to work nicely for us.
Guess you didn't go with Granger then! :)
They are a Ford Dealer. I wasn't aware of other dealers doing the $1,000 non-refundable deposit, like they are doing, but sounds like whoever you went with is doing the same thing. I was willing to give Granger my $1,000 non-refundable deposit...
The seats are only a different color. The OB is no more "the" luxury version than the Badlands with Premium package. At that point, it's just a preference to the Blue highlighted seats, or the brown.
I'm only holding out on buying parts in the off chance my BS shows up with them (or some). The first BS I bought didn't have them, so I ordered and installed the missing pieces. Prepared to do the same for this second one, if needed.
"I've learned over the years that unless you evidence otherwise to never attribute to malice that which may be explained by incompetence. "
I love this. This is an ethos I apply in my work life, and what I stress to my team. It's easy, when you run into conflict, to see the worst. I stress...
I'd be furious if this were my experience. Hate hearing that this happened to you. Unfortunately, there are always some flawed vehicles that come out of production. A friend of mine had an experience very similar to yours with a BMW X7. Had a 2021 X7, lived what sounds to be your experience...
I have a lot of mixed feelings about the Bronco Sport. Generally speaking, I like it enough to buy two of them (a '22 Badlands and a '23 Badlands expected to arrive the first week in January). So that would hint that I like it a lot. And I do. But not without reservation.
It's a bit of a...
For sure - hence, the premise of the original statement is kind of silly. Almost like saying, if no Badlands existed, I bet there would be more OB sales.
True...because that is essentially what the Badlands + Premium package is. So - yes....as one that is not interested in the Bronco Sport other than the Badlands with the Premium package, yes - if the OB was outfitted with everything the Badlands has (2.0 + the rest of what the Badlands brings...
It's the top of the model line. By a mile. Ford made it the best Bronco Sport available, and charge accordingly. It would be a very odd thing if it were priced and positioned as the top of the model line, but somehow, was lesser than the other models.
There is definitely a cost associated with a long roadtrip to pick up a new car. In my case, I see it as a perfect excuse for a quick getaway/roadtrip with my wife, which would be worth it under any circumstances with or without coming home with a new car.
That is a great price! Must have been one of the last '22's to come out of production. I ordered a '23 through Granger that is expected to arrive between Jan. 1 - 7th. I would have been happy with it being a '22 for what you paid!
Oh I’m with you. That comment is fairly common. Yet I get some kind of grief every time I point out that you’ll often here of people with a 1.5L trim trading it out for the Badlands, but I have never once heard of a Badlands owner swapping it out for a 1.5L model. Seriously doubt it’s ever...
these are no small differences, to be sure. The locking rear differential alone puts the Badlands on a completely different level of capabilities. They have different suspensions. There are additional GOAT driving modes, including rock crawl, which is similar to a true low range gear. Don’t...
People do it all the time. Most cars come with donut tire spares. They'll get you to safety, no problem. The 225 tire, I dare say, is a far better option than a donut spare. Can't imagine anybody would put that "different sized spare tire on" and forget about it, but for continuing on one's...
