I went the relay route because XBB doesn't sell direct to USA, and the other companies listing it had quite the mark-ups on the price. I'm glad to hear it's a quality product though.
This type of device does not provide more horse power nor torque from your engine, it just changes how the throttle signal is perceived to make it more responsive, i.e. Tells the engine more throttle faster. They can make the car more responsive to throttle inputs but it doesn’t change engine...
While certainly an inexpensive option, I’ve not seen enough credible research, outside of anecdotal evidence, to trust them with my safety. And the lights have use outside of just deer incident prevention, both on and off road

This weekend I decided to try to solve a very particular problem in the most complicated way possible. On my last visit to Virginia, driving through the rural highways at 2am after 11 hours of driving, I noticed a moderate inadequacy with the high beams. See, when my regular headlights are on...
This is what I ended up installing but word of warning. There are no indicators if you left any circuits on. So if you have trash memory like me, you may occasionally leave something on when you walk away from your car. I ended up wiring a custom indicator pod to help me remember
Obviously depending on the brand of your recovery boards, these are the mounts I ended up buying. My application is a little different because the mounts are embedded in the lid of a case, but the product itself advertises being used in line across a single cross bar which might work for you.
