Ours is in on for a leak. It’s the water pump. Only symptom was no heat at idle. Heat return while underway for only a minute. It’s the 1.5. Not sure of 2.0 water pump is the same. Thursday will mark 2 weeks at the dealer. 1 1/2 days to diagnose. Wait on parts for 5 days and waiting for the...
Have not tested battery. There are no other issues with the car except the heat. If it were voltage issues one would think some code would pop up. They said vehicle has zero codes. At least the problem exists at the shop. So they can’t claim no issue found.
Been at the dealer all day. No codes. They have no idea yet. I’ll add it does start blowing cold a few minutes after moving again just when you think heat is on after moving again.
They are looking into a small coolant leak as a possibility
I didn’t, my wife did. It’s an SUV that looks good and not like every other egg on the road. Plus we have a Bronco and on second Maverick. This is her 2nd sport. This one is a Heritage Edition. Guess you could say we like Fords. Been driving Fords since my first. 86 Escort GT. Also F150’s and...
I use Griots car soap. I also use Griots 3in1 spray ceramic on all exterior surfaces. Glass, paint, black plastics, handles and grill. No greasy residue sprays. I use their ceramic restore twice a year on all black plastics and window rubber. Griots vinyl and rubber dressing on tires for a nice...
Will check. Just seeing if anyone else has experienced the same. Dealers like to blow stuff off. Quoting TSB or having some knowledge has helped in the past. I went round and round once because service manager(not at Ford dealer)said it wasn’t a know issue so problem didn’t exist. I said someone...
Intermittently while at idle there is no heat. Vents blow cold until you start driving again. Then heat returns. Also seemed to only work with recirc selected. Might be ok next leg of trip. Anyone else?
Really Ford. Fix the bad injectors. The band aid is the best you can do?
Ford says in documents filed with U.S. safety regulators that fuel injectors can crack, and gasoline or vapor can accumulate near ignition sources, possibly touching off fires.
Dealers will install a tube to let gasoline...
