Looks good so far. There's 3 things I want in a tire carrier:
1) don't block the rear camera
2) don't block the rear window
3) don't block the license plate
This is such a slippery slope. They could literally charge you money just to be able to start your vehicle. Subscription services are making everything worse, and I swear it all started with gaming and DLC.

I have the same setup as you and I've also been disappointed, but it doesn't sound quite as bad as you've mentioned. Maybe there is something wrong with yours.

Had my first change yesterday at the dealership where I bought the vehicle. It was free, and I have 3 more free ones left. After that for oil change and tire rotation it will cost $70.
Not only that, but even some luxury manufacturers like BMW are actually removing Android Auto and Apple Carplay ENTIRELY from upcoming vehicles because of shortages. I'm happy to have it at all, and the Yamaha adapter works great to convert it to a wireless experience.
