Yeah my 2020 Fusion was a solid car. That came out when Mullaly was still in charge back in 2013. Then I got a 22 Escape that dates back to 2020 that my parents bought from me and then a 22 Bronco Sport that dates to 2021. Both were in the shop for quality issues more than my Fusion ever was. So...
Idk about Farley, he seems to be steering Ford into an unknown direction. He says things like “oh we’re done with 5 passenger crossovers, we’re gonna focus on passion brands” which yeah cool, but how do passion brands help sales? I mean he was saying this stuff with an updated Escape on the cusp...
That must be recent since my Fusion was a 2020. I’m assuming the next generation of cars like for example, a 2019 previous gen Escape had better tires than a 2020 new gen Escape. The Fusion got the axe in 2020 so I’m assuming if there was one that followed, it would have crappier tires.
Yeah I have premature wear on my tires as well and I only have 20 some thousand miles. I had a Chevy Impala I bought brand new, I put 40 some thousand miles on it and the original tires were still good. Same with my Fusion with AWD that had almost 30,000 miles, original tires were still in good...
I do have to say I had a leak in the back hatch part, but it was because of the seal around the top brake light bar that was letting water in. After they fixed it, it did leak a tiny bit, but they don’t know where it’s coming from and it hasn’t done it again yet.
I wouldn’t think you’d have a hard time servicing it over there, yeah there are some cosmetic parts and some mechanical parts that are different, but it shares parts with the Escape/Kuga, especially the engine. I know it shares a platform with not only the Kuga, but the Focus over there as well...
Yup I have the same problem, had to have them replaced and I asked why they were like that and was also told cheap plastics. Not a very good answer from your own dealership that they know Ford cheaped out on things. Also the new door panels are doing the same thing, probably gonna be a never...
Mine has gone down too like it did last winter. It’s with having the heat on full blast and the heated steering wheel and seats, it uses a lot of gas. Also using the remote start drains it too.
I should also point out because I have the issue with mine is that a lot of interstate driving...
Our service guy looked his Escape up and said his already had the current TSB and that my Bronco Sport didn’t. I’m currently waiting on them to get the parts in to do mine. Idk when, hopefully it’s not on back order like my interior door panel that I’m also waiting on but ??‍♂️.
I already went and test drove some cars today, non Ford ones. I’m completely done with this. I’ve had mine since 9/30 and it’s beyond ridiculous. My dad had the TSB fix already that mine is now gonna get and his brakes still moan like a dying whale.
I feel bad for people who are dealing with...
That’s ridiculous. Why do we have to pay for Ford’s screw up? Again, it’s not our fault that Ford cheaped out on parts and can’t seem to fix their crap.
I liked it too, but I’m just really frustrated with it all. Idk, hopefully I’m able to trade it in and my next car won’t have a lot of issues like this one does.
I thought it was the second! I only have had this since September of 22 and I only had my brakes done once. I didn’t know it’s the third time!
Edit: I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since the Escape has been in production since 2019 and it has the same problem, but damn…
If I remember correctly no, I was on the Escape forum when I owned my Escape talking about my issues and they sent me the same message and I replied and talked with Ford about it. They didn’t fix my issues, just gave me a service plan to keep me pacified since they wouldn’t do a buyback. I would...
I’m basing it off ownership of the vehicle and other people who own one that have had issues and car reviewers. I’m referring to everything. From the cheap interior plastics to the mechanical bits. If Ford actually used quality parts, they would have hardly no issues, but they don’t. They...
