Now-a-days, there are simply too many needless bells and whistles that tend to make the vehicles cost more to purchase, as well as cost people later to fix when they eventually do fail.
Heck, you can barely even see where the physical engine is anymore in the engine compartment w/all the...
Canada has required Daylight Running Lights for years, long before the US has.
It's not a bad idea, especially when driving in very rural areas.
I remember when they became required on motorcycles, which I wasn't too keen on, but after a while got use to them, plus it did make sense when...
The early '90's as well, at least up to '91 or '92 I believe, which you could still get the 22RE engine.
I had one w/the rare 22RE 4 cylinder engine, as well as w/a manual transmission. It was bone stock, w/no air conditioning.
The only real bad part w/it was that stupid, vacuum operated...
Does anyone make a lift kit specifically for the Badlands, or is it simply maxed out due to the CV angles on its axles?
I just talked to Rough Country about their kits, and they said that they are only specifically for the regular, non Badlands models only.
I don't have a source, other than what I've read, which I can't find.
Once again I have seen N/A referred to as Non-Aspirated, or simply a normal atmospheric intake.
I did find this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Non-Aspirated
"Non-aspirated" is another term for naturally aspirated...
With these Lift Kits, does it affect the CV joints?
What's the maximum which the Bronco Sport can be lifted w/o damaging the CVs?
I'm looking at the Rough Country, but I was told that they don't fit on the Badlands.
Thanks!
With NA, or Non-Aspirated, I've seen that as meaning w/no turbo or supercharged intake. Just taking in air at atmospheric pressure.
As for Aspirated, I have seen it referred to as a engine w/either a Turbo or Supercharged intake. I tried finding something to state it as such, but couldn't find...
A Naturally Aspirated Engine, also known as a normally aspirated engine, and abbreviated to N/A or NA, is an internal combustion engine in which air intake depends solely on atmospheric pressure and does not have forced induction through a turbocharger or a supercharger.
An Aspirated Engine...
Normal Mode
Normal mode serves as the default setting for everyday driving on paved roads. The Bronco Sport prioritizes comfort, fuel efficiency, and predictable handling in this mode. Throttle response is linear and progressive, while the transmission focuses on smooth shifting and optimal...
The 0W-30 can still be used in the summer months.
I used to use that German Castro oil when it was once available here in the US, which was only available in a 0W-30 weight.
The thinner oil, 0W-20 now-a-days, is to please the fuel mileage ratings, but going from a 30 weight down to a 20 won't...
Got her dirty, what else?
Took my BL up into the Sierra's today, into the Inyo National Forest near Bishop, CA, trying to break her in offroad.
No issues to report.
On the way back home, I went through Dead Valley from the Nevada entrance.
The temperature down in the lower valley was 116 F. ...
Thanks, but what about simple gravel roads.
I could have left it in Normal Mod, but the gravel road wasn't that perfect.
Were they Sand, a little, but no.
Were they Slippery, yes, but w/no ice, snow, or mud, but loose gravel.
Were they Mud/Ruts, a little when it comes to Ruts, but there was...

Anyone know if there is a much better description someplace of what Goat Mods to use off-road vs. what is shown in the owner's manual?
The owner's manual...
