Two hours is quick! Most of these lift kits are estimating 4-4.5 hours. Did you grind down the bottom edges of the struts? I didn't see that step in your video, but I saw it in HRG's installation video. That is something I really wouldn't want to do if I ended up getting this kit.
It appears you are a disgruntled customer who is mad at Ford. And under your circumstances, I would be mad too if I believed some sly car salesman half the BS they tell folks. But spoiler alert - most of them are like that, and that problem is not just endemic to Ford dealerships; it's at every...
So, are you saying that while attempting the hill in Normal mode:
Power was lost and 4WD was disabled
...but after switching to Sand mode:
Power was maintained and 4WD was not disabled
Basically, Normal mode couldn't handle the hill but Sand mode could. Is that correct?
Thanks for the information. I knew they were for camber adjustment, but I had never heard of using special bolts to do it. I also wasn't sure where they would even be installed to help in making the adjustment.
How and where do the bolts install? Are the bolts necessary after getting an alignment, or would they be required first to even get an alignment after installing the lift? I've seen that they are an accessory with the HRG lift but am wondering how critical they are.
I believe the kit only contains springs and nothing else. You reuse the factory struts and just replace the factory springs with the new ones. However, I would reach out to H&R to verify. There's also at least one user on the forum that has had the springs installed.
Furthermore, there's a...
I think you're picking up on something fishy like I have.
When I first opened this thread and read the title and post, it immediately made me think of a fake Amazon review posted by the seller/manufacturer disguised as a "customer". They're used to prop up the customer review rating and each...
Has anyone installed one of these lifts by themselves? @Adam06 I see you are going to take off the ReadyLift and install the HRG lift because of the clunking.
I'm curious as to which one is the easiest to install, with the least amount of steps, and no cutting/grinding/drilling. That last...
Daystar has a lift too, although I'm not sure when exactly it came out. I'm interested in it because the spacer is polyurethane and not metal, so no metal-on-metal contact. However, I'm sure some will say metal is more durable and will last longer. Whatever.
Here's the link for the lift kit...
From what I understand, the Maverick is based on the Bronco Sport platform (which is based on the Escape, except with a better 4x4 system and more suitable off-road suspension), so I would think the Maverick and non-Badlands BS trims are comparable. This is especially true since even the FX4...
Thanks! I really appreciate it.
I measured between the gray bolts (only one side shown - labeled 1 in picture below) and the measurement was about 43-44". I also measured 36" between the two plastic grommets (labeled 2) and 33" between the two black screws (labeled 3). So unfortunately, it...
See the instructions I found on the skid plate's web page linked below. Looks like the plate doesn't quite cover the entire underside of the engine bay, but if it fits over the existing composite splash shield for non-BL trims, it will provide some protection and is better than nothing...
Do you attach the shovel to the Molle straps on the back seat? I see the case has clips, but they're metal and they look like they could potentially rip the back of the seat if attached to the Molle straps.
Maybe some underside photos of the skid plate. Also, if it's not too much to ask, could you measure the width from bolt-to-bolt of the 4 mounting points? For reference, the measurements between the bolts represented by the red and yellow lines in the picture below. Thanks!
No, but I finally did get a response back about an hour ago from a guy named John through the [email protected] email. This is what he said:
"We now have these products available for the Bronco Sport. Please see the link below to see which products suit your needs. We have not...
FYI, Rally Innovations just released their line of Bronco Sport products, including a front skid plate. However, there may be some fitment concerns for non-BL owners until it is determined if mounting holes will line up. See the links below to the website and the thread where I posted my...
