this may not be as grand as Monument Valley but Trona Pinnacles is an unearthly sight.
well...perfect cloudless blue sky may be a little boring....let's add some spice
getting there was easy except for this mud area. I was glad I was not the first person coming thru this. that shining...
hm....wonder if they got some snow near 6,000'. this storm just passed thru was colder than the last one but not that cold. Winter storm warning above 6500'.
video looks nice. I have not been out there for a long time and never been on this road. usually going out there to mtn bike
well, the shocks will be replaced under warranty but I was surprised to hear that an alignment will be done for that. I supposed this is not a struct, replacing the shocks not necessarily change the alignment. but I will probably have it checked next week by a local store I have life time...
thanks. yes, the foam trays went back in. so 20 psi is about max is your experience. guess I can just leave it at 12 for now. I can always carry a tire pump with me.
No kiding about needing winch to bring the tire out. as is already pretty heavy. I can see if it is wedged in at 30+...
a quick report on this matter....I put in the TPMS in the spare wheel and rotated into the driving wheels. first day the TPMS was reading the now "spare tire" in the trunk. I know because It was reduced to 12 psi to fit into the trunk. Then....I didn't do anything then the TPMS seems to...
Ok..finally got some pictures.
First the photo of the trunk spare tire cover with the 245/65/17 sticking up with tire well insulation left in place
tire reduce to about 12 psi to go into well like this...
then I removed the insulation liner, the spare went into well easily (still at 12...
well, I just found out 245/65 17 doesn't go into the truck, neatly....I got some new Kumho Roadventure AT52 and decided to start a 5 tire rotation.
The tire went in with 12 psi....but sticking up almost an inch. I haven't got time to investigate how much insulation I would have to remove to...
thank you! I got a matching wheel for the spare already so I will be set to go.
Now I just need to figure out and do more research on how to reset the TPM. I bought one for the spare to be installed.
about 5-tire rotation....I assume the new (spare) tire goes on to one of the rear?? I could try to measure the tires to see which one wear the most.
any thoughts? anybody??
oh oh!!!
I just checked my battery and I got a LX6T-10655!! (22 Badland born on 2022 4th of July)
I have recieved a recall notice months ago and they checked my battery. appeared to be ok. I also got a simple battery load tester and it seems Ok. Tho...if I parked the car for a few days...
I was trying to do the same, I don't know why they just clearly list the differences.
I have to say interior lights are nice to have...so I put some in myself. it's an easy mod to do. I wish there still a good way to lit the cup holder well.
Rain sensing wipers? perhaps personal, I have cars...
I dropped the car off for recall service and dealer quoted me $$$ for a 20,000 miles differential oil change. I was thinking maybe I can find another shop to get that done. Not sure if anyone has paid for the RDU fluid change.
so the only challenge is to get the fill plug off? did you have to...
Woe, if it out runs a GT40, I don't care if it gets 5 mpg, I will have it done 10 times!!
I now started to get notices from the dealerships about the recall. I figure I've dragged it pretty long already. maybe I have to get it done.
thanks for the response
more I read these less I want to go get the recall done.
However, I assume there are plenty of people out there with perfectly fine BS and then had the recall done and continue to be fine???
But, just last week I had an interesting message from the car...something about my remote start will...
thanks! found the spec on the website
I assume that doesn't include the rear tire carrier which I really like.
that is a big SUV.
I always thought for 2-row, the Grand Cherokee is the right size. 4runner is also around 195".
Maybe there will be a Scout Sport coming
guess i'm keeping my BS 'til '27 :)
the truck/suv looks good. solid rear axel will help articulations but I wonder how it feels on the road...more like a 4Runner or Bronco I supposed. they didn't mention dimensions. I assume it is smaller than a Rivian R1. I hope for about 190".
very...
