...and said they were definitely bigger. So I think the OE tires are essentially the same size as the 245/65 KO2's. I see they don't make the KO3 yet in that size, but asking Chat GPT it looks like it may be released sometime soon. The rest of the changeover from the KO2's to the KO3's is...
...I'm leaning towards the KO3, and even though they're up to 95 sizes, the '25 Badlands Sasquatch OE (235/65R17) isn't one of them. While more sizes are likely to become available over the coming years, if stuck with the current availability the three closest I'm looking at are:

...before snow/mud season. If I ever notice contact progressing, I’ll trim that inner lip, but it hasn’t been necessary yet.
Why it’s manageable: KO3 shoulder isn’t as square as some ATs, and the lift plus stock offset keeps the arc neat. I daily at 34–35 psi, air down mid-20s off-road...

...than a KO2. They're still a great tire and have a following for a reason, but noise has always been the thing that they didn't even try to avoid. If you care about noise, stay away from KO2s, though I do hear good things about the newly released KO3. (do they even make those in a BS size...
Always felt like the 245s were too narrow — I’d slide off rocks too easily 🪨😬. Terrain matters, but for a soft off-roader, the extra width and grip really help 💪.
The tire size alone gave me about 0.26” of added ground clearance 📏.
Paired that with a 1.5” lift using lifted struts and springs...
The KO3 and AT4/W aren't all that loud. And they look aggressive which was another of the requests.
Anything with a more aggressive looks is going to have a bit more road noise, so like everything it's a compromise.
...a lift and a +38 wheel you should be able to fit a 255/70/16, a 30" tire.
An interesting tire, available in the very near future, is the BFG KO3 in both a 235/70/16 and a 245/70/16. https://www.discounttire.com/buy-wheels/mb-wheels-crux It says the 16's don't fit now but they did. Test fit...
Good question, lots of owners here with K02/K03 and also Toyo Open Country, here’s a few links to ask the KO2/KO3 owners.

I'll definitely be buying anther set of the KO2,s and/or look into these new KO3's. not sure. what the difference is. In the places I find myself I need some beefy sidewalls because of all of the rocks I travel over.
...Thompson) with essentially zero sound insulation and it never bothered me. Given the Badlands Tech Package includes the noise reduction module, it'll likely be even less of an issue.
Since I'm intending much more off-road mileage going forward, maybe KO3's when it's time to replace the shoes?
...something the lil BS may have a problem with in reality.
My latest is IF I do go with the Falken AT4s it will be my FE OEM 235 size and not the 245 (which I really wanted). As I type this I hear the BFG KO3 is here… ?
Thanks for your response; helps me greatly, and perhaps other who follow.
Here is the first video comparison I've seen of these two tires, though I'm not a big fan of YouTube's "Compare the Tire" this one seems to be better than those from last year. The down side of both of these is they will not be available, in our sizes, this year, unless you consider the...
Forum members that where lucky enough to get the Falken Wildpeak AT4W have had nothing but good things to say about them. You would not go wrong with that choice.
Well I need tires and have been awaiting a couple new tires - the AT4 being one and KO3, but given my latest research on both and what we know so far about increased tire weight I’m likely going with a 235/65 17 falken AT4 (did consider 245 but not anymore or unless I find a really inexpensive...
