Not sure where you received your info from but the 2025 1.5L and 2.0L are completely new engines. designated MPC (Ford's new Modular Power Cylinder family).
1.5L
Right, a quick initial google search had a lot of discrepancies so I had to look at the previous years manuals to compare. Do you happen to know if it’s still a plastic pan? I will verify with the drain and check the levels when the time comes. It’s the wife’s car that was purchased last...
Looks great, I am very happy I went with the 25 BL and I like the black wheels, I like how they fit in with the body molding. When I bought mine back in September I received the points in the Ford app around 2 weeks from my purchase. The screen is a bit of a learning curve, you can show the...
From what I have read, they addressed alot of the issues that were in the previous Dragon engines and unlike the Dragon engine, its not a revamped European engine but a from scratch Ford developed engine which generally fairs better then when they use someone elses technology. The last purpose...
Dealer states the idle issues are "normal". So i asked for keys to a BS with the 2.0 and it operates the same as mine. I am done with this issue and will be driving it like any other vehicle regardless of the rpm. Thanks for everyones input.
No it doesn't. Even if I shift into gear right away after start up, there is no abrupt jerking or banging from the tranny. Just going to keep doing what I'm doing.
I'm curious why the MPC has such a high idle though.
...a week or so ago. I noticed it on my test drive.
I haven't paid attention to it after the BL warms up, as I start, shift and go.
This seems to be normal for the 2.0 L MPC engine from seeing these posts.
I guess it's just the nature of the beast, or we can expect a TSB or recall in the future.
That may be true, but there are still plenty of differences. The only thing I can't understand is why Ford is hiding information about its engines, forcing people to theorize and speculate.

“2025 1.5L Bronco Sports use the Dragon B Engine which has been updated with Modular Power Cylinder (MPC) technology, but its still the 1.5L Single Turbo Dragon engine.
If anyone plans to argue that its Not a dragon, don’t waste your time. I work for Ford...

I drove a 2022 BS/BL, then got a 2025 and overall I'd say it's a nice improvement! I like the bigger display and it drives better with less acceleration lag. I'm keeping this one until the warranty expires!
I haven't paid attention to the exhaust sound.
I'm still on the full tank of fuel from when I purchased the BL. I'm sitting at 47% remaining but will fill it up Friday or Saturday.
I've only put on 184 miles, so I really don't have a good indicator of city mileage. On 1 highway trip of about...
I no longer have My 2023 BS BB but have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick now with the 2.0 MPC and have also noticed the High Cold Idle. The Maverick exhaust note is also kind of different during the cold high idle is Yours the same? And also what kind of Mileage are You getting non Highway?
...Continental tires vs the Wildpeaks on the 2021.
It looks to me that the rear of the 2025 sits up a little higher than the 2021.
The new 2.0L MPC engine has a higher cold idle.
The 12.3 inch screen is an improvement, but the HVAC controls will take some time to get used to.
On the 2021...
That is a new part number for the 1.5L water pump (prior 2 versions are HX7Z-8501-A and HX7Z-8501-B/HX7Z-8501-BA)
It’s interesting that it shows fitting ‘21 to ‘25 Bronco Sport models with 1.5L so seems to be the same water pump on 2025 MPC 1.5L as for prior years ‘21-24 1.5L
