Nope, you're right. My wording is just off. Diode Dynamics has them listed as tail/backup but in reality they are brake/backup lights. The "tail" mentioned in your post is the surrounding bulb and is indeed LED. You can see in your table the three rear bulbs that need to be replaced if you want...

This is an old thread but can confirm I did the same when I first got my FE BS and haven't looked back since! Put the sticker on the top of the air filter enclosure so the dealership doesn't try to swap it out. Install was super smooth and took like 5 minutes - simple drop-in.
