That has already happened in my original post. The transmission guy at Ford said it wasn't from the fluid not being changed.
It was just a bad torque converter.
I will find out hopefully on Saturday if it's just the torque converter or more. I kept my 2008 Ranger Sport 4x4 for 13 years and just did regular maintenance.
I am going to mention that I want a replacement instead of this one being rebuilt.
On the highway and city streets it was ok. The only time I really noticed it jerking was if I had to hit the gas to accelerate to pass someone.
The RPM's never varied driving ot idling.
I dropped it off today for them to tear it down and they said they were going to look to see if it can be rebuilt or if it's more economical for them to replace the transmission.
2021 Base. It started to jerk when accelerating at all speeds 1 week ago.
Took to the dealership and they said the torque converter is the problem.
Luckily still under the powertrain warranty.
There is a setting in the Sync software to adjust the delay, i set mine to immedially off after the vehicle is turned of
