That has already happened in my original post. The transmission guy at Ford said it wasn't from the fluid not being changed. It was just a bad torque converter.

I had my transmission rebuilt at 50k Km. It was jerking when I went to accelerate trying to pass someone. Covered under the 5 year powertrain.

Shouldn't have to do it unless you are driving it in the severe conditions listed in the manual.

I will find out hopefully on Saturday if it's just the torque converter or more. I kept my 2008 Ranger Sport 4x4 for 13 years and just did regular maintenance. I am going to mention that I want a replacement instead of this one being rebuilt.

On the highway and city streets it was ok. The only time I really noticed it jerking was if I had to hit the gas to accelerate to pass someone. The RPM's never varied driving ot idling.

I dropped it off today for them to tear it down and they said they were going to look to see if it can be rebuilt or if it's more economical for them to replace the transmission.

That was an auto correct that I didn't notice 🤣

It is covered under the 5 years powertrain warranty.

Transmission should have lasted a lot longer. Paperwork says wrong PCM software.

2021 Base. It started to jerk when accelerating at all speeds 1 week ago. Took to the dealership and they said the torque converter is the problem. Luckily still under the powertrain warranty.

My 2021 Base has the rain sensing wipers option in Vancouver Canada and a heated wiper area.

The Start/Stop will still work with the front defrost on if all the othe conditions are met.

The Canadian version has a wiperblade heater activated by turning on the rear defrost.
