I have my Bronco dealer serviced too, oil changes etc.. but at least they delivered it to my home when they were done.

I purchased a riv nut tool and inserts. I had to drill out the hole in the frame, but was able to install an M8 insert and it worked. I would never had thought about it without your suggestion. Thank you!

The dealer said that the nut plate is internally welded to the boxed frame and cannot be repaired. So I will be tapping the hole with a 10mm tap and got a screw that will fit. Hope I will be able to remedy, otherwise I will have a useless skid plate I just bought.

Well I researched ford parts and see that it may be a nut plate, so I'm going to the ford dealer later to verify and get part if needed. Hopefully it is a clip on nut plate.

I the nut plate is welded to the frame, and there isn't a way to reach the back side of the bollt to place a nut.

After over a year of ownership, I signed up for the Ford Premium extended warranty with no hassle. I did it all online with no human interaction.

Once my free year was up and I didn't like the renewal price, they offered it for $7 a month and I took it. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Update: more damage discovered. A used headlight $1100. A/C condensor, fog light, skid plate, tow hook $195 only scratched not bent. Total now $5,600 to repair. The headlight and fog light still worked and did not appear to be out of adjustment. I'm asking for these parts to be returned to me...

I was riding in the desert, turned onto a dirt road to turn around and while backing, the passenger front dropped into a washout ditch after recent rain. The ground looked solid but had washed out below. The entire wheel entered the ditch but I was able to back out. There is obvious damage but...
