I gave up a while ago on downloading from computer and just pay the $40 to get the drive from Ford ..I’ve not had opportunity to use it yet to see differences , others have said it’s smoother and the voice response is better

USB easier and faster, wifi can be very time consuming and iffy for some who don't get the best wifi from their home wifi or whatnot...but I get your idea of chilling in the car for a bit while it downloads. Sometimes the peace is worth the time ...

I highly recommend updating with a USB, the wifi can take a very long time and if the connection isn't the best signal you will be there forever ....USB is easy

With the master reset did you loss your Nav functions and /or vehicle connection to your ford pass app?

Do you have a 2nd key fob you can try?
