My understanding is the extremely light weight oils are to get the max mileage. So not to be penalized because of the CAFE standards. Same motor in another country with less strict regulations would run a higher weight oil.
Anyone running 5w-30 in warm environments? My other two Fords run 5w-30. Hate buying that 6th quart of 5w-20 for the 1.5 oil change and prefer to just keep 5w-30 on hand for all vehicles.
Rear drive unit and a water pump on our 23. Repair cost would be outrageous out of warranty. Not sure we are keeping this one. If we get another it will be with the 2.0. 2 Mavericks with the 2.0 and no issues. I don’t believe Ford has the water pump on the 1.5 fixed. Still waiting for the fuel...
I can see getting rid of auto wipers and wireless charging. That only works well on toothbrushes. The garage door opener loss is crazy. About as bad as no push button start on XLT version trucks. Guess I will keep that extra $20 Kia Homelink mirror I have if my wife ever wants another Sport.
We own a Sport(2nd)and a Maverick(2nd as well). However it’s the 2.0. I will say I like the Maverick much better than the Sport. Even though they are built at the same plant and share a similar platform on the front half. The Maverick is much better. Far quieter, drives much better. Better...
The fuel injector recall that has been out for so long with no parts available has disappeared from Ford app. Might just be an app issue as seat bolt recall disappeared from full size recall notice in app. Anyways. What is going on with the injector?
Because of the known issue of no heat at idle. Anyone have it fail again? Between this and the RDU rebuild and service advisor comment I’m not so sure about keeping it past warranty.
Completed in just over one day. Advisor stated no guarantee it won’t happen again at 50k miles. Anyone had the repair done just to have issue return?
