Messing around in the cargo area noticed a type of tray that looked like it would fit the spare tire cover. I have an Outer Banks and salesperson said full size spare but it is in fact the donut. I’m not sure if this “slot” is where the cover would go if I did have the full size spare. But it also seems ti reduce the height difference with seats folded down. Is that the real intention? Or would this be where the full size spare cover would fit?

Yes, the cover goes in there when you have a full size spare and lines up the floor better as well.

Yes, that is where it goes with the full size spare. I keep mine in the higher spot to keep the back cargo area more level with seats folded down. If you do this it may rattle without some weight on top.

The cargo management system can lock in laying flat on top of that using the same notch

I replaced the donut spare with a full size wheel/tire. Just move the cover to the upper slot just everyone says, the only issue is that the stud that holds down the wheel down is not long enough to reach through the wheel. but I haven't had any problems with it moving around in there.

I Just add a cargo protector. It costs around $140 and stops stuff from slipping around in back.

Yeah the rear cargo mat adds a bit of weight and protection and then your rear floor cover doesn't wiggle as much or jump around. Or just store more crap back there.

Full size spare comes on First Edition and Badlands by default. I think it comes on the other trims, or maybe one of them, if you order the tow package, but not sure. Not including the full size spare on all trims is kinda stoopid, IMO. Off-road oriented SUV and they give people a donut spare. SMH...

...and if you get the upgraded Falken AT3W tires on the Badlands or FE, your full size spare is still the standard Pirelli AS tire that's 1/2 inch smaller in diameter.

I wonder if Falken would sell us a single OEM AT3W (it's different than the aftermarket AT3W) to replace the Pirelli.

Certainly. You will get a flat that can’t be fixed. The 235/65-17 is the OE size and replacement per Falken.

The Falken Wildpeak AT3W's - 235/65-17, 104H rating, are not unique or special for the Bronco Sport. Can be bought from Tire Rack, Discount, others. Had to buy one a few months back when I ran over a bolt or rebar or something like that in the dark. Discount Tire got me one from the local warehouse or distribution center same day.

Ford is just being lazy/ cheap by not upgrading the spare when a customer chooses the upgraded AT3W tires. Yeah, I could swap out the tire on the spare if I wanted to spend the $200 to do it.

Falken posted the part number in the tire topic.

Just in case, that part# 59000690. While we do not sell direct to the public, you can source tires from an authorize seller, like Discount Tire/Discount tire direct.
