Rebooting Touch Panel

Does anyone know of a way (i remember in my previous car, I could press three buttons simultaneously and the iDrive would reset) to reset the center panel touchscreen?
If i open the trunk or passenger door and take awhile to enter and start the car, the center touchscreen goes dark. I'm looking for a way to be able to reboot it so I can have full use of the touchscreen.
