Had 1.5" lift installed on my wife's Outer Banks yesterday and on the way home, the heater wouldn't come on until an hour into the drive home. Now, heater wouldn't work for the wife's drive into work and guess who's to blame?

Anyone have any thoughts on causation?

I don’t think it has anything to do with the lift, what lift did you have installed? Was battery disconnected? When lift was installed?

Rough Country installed yesterday by 4 Wheel Parts. I’m gonna call them after they open to ask questions regarding those steps

Yea had very bad experience with 4wp in my state. They messed up and lied when they did my lift. I ended up tearing it apart and putting new lift.

Also have had bad experience with 4 Wheel Parts install.

Will say that I would not be disparaging about all four wheel parts and every mechanic they use. Because only had that experience at the 1 shop i tried.
However
Their customer service about correcting the situation was terrible.

They actually wanted to tell me that having a 1/4 turned misaligned steering wheel went hand-in-hand with the lift kit they installed. Which was definitely not the case after speaking with lift manufacturer.

After I had lifted my Ranger later it through a check engine light
*I took it to my regular mechanic.
*Because it was a check engine light. This was on my 1998 Ford Ranger.

because of the lift some of the hoses were at their very limit. one hose was leaking which through a check engine light. The shop I used had a Master Mechanic who thoroughly went through the underneath and found the small (super small) separation of the hose where it should have been attached.
was amazed they found it. But that is an example of people who are going to do a detailed quality inspection and fix it.

Myself and others have had a lot of work done at this 4WP (Austin, TX) and this is the first significant issue I know of occurring. Gonna see what comes. It "feels" like something was it not connected fully or jostled loose during the install.

When you say the heater won't work, do you mean the fan won't come on, or it simply doesn't get warm?

Blows but won’t get warm.

Very strange. Almost like the thermostat isn’t working.
I looked through the entire Rough Country install guide and can’t see anywhere an installer would even come close to any heater system components.

Often the heater control valve is operated by a vacuum line connected to the valve. I don't know for sure if that's true on the Bronco Sport but it's a place to start. I don't know how this could happen by installing a lift but you never know.

For instance, I took my Superduty into the dealer for a transmission fluid change. My heater did not work afterwards and I discovered the technician knocked the vacuum connection loose from the valve, which is easy to do since it is located right next to the transmission dipstick.

It was low on coolant. I'm not familiar with these closed loop coolant systems (if this is the accurate nomenclature), but apparently I need to check the coolant levels more frequently. This is what was causing both the heater/AC to stop working (yes, need them both in the same day down here in Texas).
