Well when I first bought the sport last April I figured I would hold onto it until the big bronco was attainable. I’ve been hanging out over on bronco6g.com and all the issues are starting to make me have serious doubts about trading in the sport. From brakes failing, the 2.7blowing up, hard top issues twice and now soft top issues, airbag recall etc, etc. The sport definitely isn’t a rock crawler or anything like that but it’s a very very good vehicle so far, nothing besides small little issues like a slight interior vibration.
Good MPG, nice looking car, can handle the small trails and things I will actually use it for, and has all the tech options I need. A similarly equipped big bronco was a little over $42k when I built it online.

Any one else kind of losing interest in the big bronco because the sport has been so great?

Yes, local Ford dealer finally got a “real” Bronco in (BB, ragtop, the smaller engine, cactus grey and big Micky Thompson’s with aggressive tread). They gave the keys and I drove it around this morning. I thought I might just trade my OB BS, but two problems; it was not for sale (demo) and I just didn’t like it as a vehicle as much as My BS. So, I’ll keep waiting for my BS badlands to ship, trade in the OB then. Did like that cactus grey…

Ford Ranger,
For me, I would swap my Bronco Sport in a heartbeat. Not because I do not like it because I do, but my needs/interests have changed. I have no interest in a big bronco either but would dearly love a dual cab Ranger.
I have a 2021 Ranger, and I love it. We ordered the sport for the wife.

Kind of funny but I had to deal with this very decision. I had a 21 BS BL which I liked a lot, but then on Black Friday my Ford salesman texted me about a 2dr OBX big Bronco that was an abandoned order. They were willing to sell it to me MSRP, that alone was amazing. Went on Saturday, took it for a test drive and bought it. The sales manager said to me its corp policy for us to not sell above MSRP and said even if you end up not liking it sell it and make some $$ which was pretty much what I was already thinking. Sold the BS to Carmax for $2K more than I paid for it.

They really are completely different vehicles, the only thing they share is the name. I love my big Bronco, my wife still likes the BS, we have a '22 on order for her which looks like it's going to scheduled so we will have one back in the family.
