I am one of those people who ? don’t care about the bronco name (I am actively debranding the car - debating a light bar cut into the grill instead of the bronco name) and ? love the vehicle, warts and all.
I kind of get it.
Each they’re own. I think your light bar idea is cool. Definitely post a photo of that. I’m going to make up for your debranding with upbranding for balance. I was thinking today while mowing the grass of how to get the word Bronco on the front grill to light up to match the headlights :p !

I’m all for that! Personally, I love the Bronco badging. It looks so cool when you’re driving and you just see headlights and the BRONCO name. If you figure it out, definitely post it!

I too am kinda obsessed with my BS but as I learned on a recent trip it's not just us.

Besides the many looks the vehicle gets anytime I'm out and about, on a recent trip from SoCal to Yosemite and back I had five separate incidents where others let me know they loved what they saw.

1. At the Tioga entrance to Yosemite the three rangers on duty spent several minutes making comments and asking questions about the BS while cars started to backup behind me. The best comment came from the female ranger working the booth..."I know it's new, but that has old school cool written all over it."

2. After ten days of backpacking I went to pick up my BS from a pullout on Tioga Road and a couple of heavy equipment operators working on campground improvements came walking over and asked for a look/see inside. They said it's been turning heads the whole time it's been parked there.

3. At the Mobil gas station at the intersection of Tioga Road and 395. I pull in and park next to a bunch of Harley Davidsons' and head inside to get some food from the deli. When I come back out there are about 20 riders looking at my BS. The consensus was that in a world where most cars have round soft edges, Ford did the right thing and kept the Bronco looking as tough as always.

4. Driving down 395 a Toyota Tundra with a male driver in his 60s pulled up next to me and slowed down, gave me a big thumbs up, and went on his way.

5. Driving down 395 a CHP in a large SUV coming the other way passed me and quickly made a U-Turn. I normally set my cruise control for 7mph over the speed limit (a friend that used to work for the New Mexico Highway Patrol told me most officers/deputies will give you that much) so I wasn't sure what was up until he raced up in the lane next to me and held just behind, then eased up about midway, and finally he pulled along side. When I looked over he had a big grin and gave me a huge thumbs up. I smiled, he gave me a wave and sped off down the road.

Anyway, I guess we're not as crazy as some people might think. There is definitely something about the BS that draws people in.

So you're not obsessed with the Bronco Sport?

Love this comment!! I like the “old school cool” description too. That’s how I would describe it too.
Idk if it’s just me, but this car made me feel revived again. I haven’t been this excited over my car since I got my first one. It’s a very special vehicle and Ford hit it out of the park!

Not even remotely. It is a tool that does what I ask of it, nothing more. Never had any nostalgic feelings for the brand and don’t care about Ford one way or the other.

Now if International revived the Scout II, that might be a different story.

Oh jeez, how sad is that?! I think you’re in the wrong thread, let alone the wrong forum. Usually people join these type of forums because they have an appreciation for their vehicle.

I like the vehicle just fine. I just don’t give two toots that it says Bronco ?. I would rather it said Ford on the front.
