Lot's of complaining I see here about the build quality of these things. Remember folks, it is a Ford...
I point this out not as a complaint or as something I am shocked about because honestly I am not. It is what I expected. It is a bit pathetic that I can get into base Mercedes and BMW sedans or any number of nice Japanese trucklets and cars for the price of a Bronco Sport and not see any of these fit and finish issues. I knew what I was getting into when I bought a Ford - something tough and rugged (by reputation and fact so far) which would be suffering meh build quality (by reputation and fact so far) but would be better than product offered by the rest of the once big three.
I love the silly thing even though I can point to a fairly lengthy list of flaws.

Mine has most of those issues as well. My dealer is sorting those miss aliened and ill fitting items as parts come in.

So far mine is only replacing the ones which break off. Thankfully that is only one bit.

I remember sitting in a Chrysler dealership a number of years ago pushing buttons and sliding sliders. One came off in my hand. My personal favourite though was back in the very early 1990s at the Toronto International Car show. We had climbed into a Beretta to have a good laugh and laugh we did. The interior was from a Corsica. Got missed at the factory, dealership, and by GM reps at the car show. Pathetic. The other Berettas there had the right interior.

You say this like it is something bad, yet you bought it anyway.

Thread titled "Oh the humanity!" Sure seems like complaining to me.

Once again, you still bought it anyway.

If I had such low expectations of a brand, I would spend my money elsewhere. I definitely wouldn't buy one and then waste my time on the internet complaining about the low quality that I expected anyway.

By the way, I love my BB BS. It is absolutely perfect in every way. Exactly
everything I expected.

Nope. It is exactly what I wanted. My expectations are under control is all. I fully expected it to drive exactly as it does and perform exactly like it does and have shitty fit and finish exactly like it does.

"oh the humanity" - a reference to the Hindenburg crash of 1937 used today in a sarcastic manner to point to "suffering" which isn't real. Not complaining. More mocking actually :)

Sarcasm is totally lost on the interwebs. But I got it. Similar to my gripe of having to hold the window down button for a whole two seconds. Some just don’t get it. Lighten up Francis. Get it? See what I did there?

I guess I got lucky as I have none of those issues.

OTOH, I wouldn't have purchased it if I'd seen any of the things some of you have, and I do look pretty carefully when purchasing a vehicle.

Well, this is my first brand new car in 40 years and I’m in the couldn’t be happier camp.
And I’m delighted not to have the one touch windows ā€˜cause it’s easier to open the window 1/4 or 1/2 to shoo a bug out.
The one exception to this is the gas filler door. Everytime I fill up I’m struck by the Tonka Toy feel of that door.

Good thing I am not a real complainer or I would have to talk about the REDACTED that I found when washing my car. I called the dealership, and they said that I was correct that they don't deal with REDACTED and that REDACTED is not covered by warranty. They suggested that I call REDACTED and talk to them about REDACTED. I did so, and will report what I find later!

You have an old VW bus? Both my wife and I want to get one dragged up here from Arizona. There is a guy in the Montreal area who will convert them to AWD Subaru underneath for about 10 000 or so Canadian Dollars. Works out that a converted van will cost about $20k give or take. Prices are a bit old, but what a neat machine that would be!

The Subaru conversions are impressive but why would you want more than 67 hp to push two tons of bus?!

Kind of reminds me of the wave in the rear bumper of my '88 mustang (on the top by the rear tag). Was there when I took delivery new. But I lived with it due to incompetent dealership bozos unable to fix anything correctly. It never did get worse though.....
