Clicking noise in shifter

Hello, I have a Bronco sport Badlands 21 and today I discovered a clicking noise in the shifter knob when it is in park with the handbrake and you press and release the brake pedal, is it normal? For reference my Bronco is Spirit. Thanks!

Is that bronco setting on 70 series tires with a lift . Nicely done congratulations.

My 21 BB does the same thing!! I took it in and the service woman came out and listened and had no idea. I made an appt for them to look at it then said the hell with it and canceled. I have spent so much money on this car as long as it isn't dangerous I don't care. I just ignore it now. If you find out let us know!

According to what I have investigated, it is the lock so that you cannot move it while the brake is not pressed. But it strikes me that I had not heard it until now.

Did you ever figure this noise out? My BL just started doing this today while on lunch break. I was parked with the engine running and I stepped on the brake and heard the click when applying as well as releasing the brake pedal. It didn’t do it while in gear. The noise was coming from under the dial shifter.

Exactly the same symptoms. Just began today, 2021 BS BL with 55k miles. I'm also curious if anyone else has had dealer diagnose. I'm out of warranty now.
