I used a heat gun (gently), which removed the plastic letters. Then saturated the rubbery backing with denatured alcohol. Once that was soft, I soaked it in GooGone… many times. I tried using the 3M wheel, but decided to do it the safe way. I have 40+ years experience with the wheel (sign shop owner) and I don’t trust it on body panels. So, no trace of the lettering. No scratches. How best to remove those “sport” letters without paint damage?
