Outside of Dallas, we were going to make a trip out of it and come back through Dallas and do the Bronco Rodeo in Austin. Since production was delayed for so long they are no longer doing the Bronco Rodeo in Austin and moved it to Maryland or something for a while......so I guess we're figuring something else out for vacation. Ford's BS strikes again lol. Oh well still be a fun trip back

Ok folks, hold onto your butts!! Quick recap, I spoke to my dealer on 8/10, he told me it was a chip hold & that Ford told him it would be "resolved" by 8/19 (neither of us knew what that meant), but this morning, 8/20, mine is AWAITING SHIPMENT!!!This is what I have.
I think this is fantastic because a) hello shiny new SUV, but also b) it sounds like Ford is getting on top of the situation and finally giving out more accurate information.
I think most of us would be a lot more OK with the wait if there was better, more reliable communication with Ford, so let's hope this means that might start happening.
PS - is 7:30 AM too early to crack open a bottle of champagne? Asking for a friend.....

Awesome news! And great your dealer is getting info from Ford!! When I was talking to mine earlier this week they said They havent gotten any timing from Ford “on this one”. … And the answer is “No!” Pop that bubbly! ?

In fairness, Ford didn't just hand over the info spontaneously - I had called my dealer a few days before that to find out what was going on, he put a trace on the car (not sure exactly how that works or what it entails), and "chip hold - 8/19" was the response to the trace. But still, given the number of incorrect answers Ford has given everyone for the last couple of months, I'd say it's a big improvement.
Now, have you seen my... errr, my friend's corkscrew?

I’m beginning to think they accidentally smashed the “specialized “chip that belongs in my BS. So many have been produced and shipped with the same packages as mine- ordered way after mine. I need another cup of coffee.
