First Offroad Trip in my 2021 Badlands, To Trona Pinnacles

I bought this 2021 Bronco Sport used to do some light offroad drives to go a few places that my other vehicles couldn't go, and I finally got the chance to take it out to Trona Pinnacles, a place in Southern California with some interesting terrain.

It's not hardcore offroading, and the Bronco Sport's capabilities go far beyond my own so I certainly wasn't pushing it, but it was nice to be able to see parts of this area that I hadn't been able to access before. I went with a couple of friends that had owned offroad vehicles for a while, so I mostly followed them around. I took a drone but didn't get a lot of chances to use it because the winds were so strong.

It's a 3-4 hour drive on freeways and highways for me to get there, which is why I didn't want to get a big off-road type of vehicle - I wanted something that could get me there in relative comfort without breaking the bank on fuel, but still have a decent capability off road. I have to say, the Bronco Sport Badlands met and exceeded my expectations on this trip, and I'm very happy with it.

Very nice! And yes, I have been to Alabama Hills a few times as well, but my understanding is that things have changed in recent years, and it's much less open and has more restrictions than before.
