Have lowered cars before and appreciated the improvement a nice set of quality progressive springs bring to the table... So figured, why not a lift? Sharing in case useful for anyone considering the H&R lift springs.

Overall, happy w the H&R lift springs. BS ride seems to have less impact harshness and despite the slightly higher center of gravity, actually feels more settled leaning into corners (it doesn't dive into a lean like it used to, now more smoothly goes into the lean). H&R states 1.2" lift and while did not do exact measurements am inclined to believe them. Of course, ride improvement is all probably just in my head to justify $$ spent!!

Purchased springs from TireRack. Springs specifically for the BB and OB.

Dealers in the area quote 2 hours for each spring. Of course, you can find a budget garage to do a simple spring swap for probably 4 hours. In my case, install done by a friend (master mechanic) who owns a premium garage. Did it for 6 hour charge. Trust my buddies ability more than the dealers! Also wanted more than just a simple swap (inspection, road test, lubricate/assembly, etc (considering how well assembled our BSs are wanted a much closer look and once over of the suspension assembly - yes, BS actually at the dealer today for the 101 rattles that will likely not be fixed)).

I do highly recommend friend's shop if you are in the Boston area and want to install lift springs! (check out maimechanic.com). Feel free to PM if you would like an intro.

Bottom line: If looking to improve ride quality and make the BS look even cooler, highly recommend! If looking to go over bigger rocks... Well, get a 3" lift kit :like:

I have a BB that came with the 18s and swapped them with 17s and the springs and all I can say are good things, I think as of now this is the only way to properly lift a NON-BL model without affecting the ride quality.
