I plan on taking my new Base model to trailheads and the like, with the most 'technical' driving it's likely to see being Chaco Culture this fall, and Linville Gorge-type driving a few times a year. Mostly local city parks with mild winters (I'm in Southwest Ohio,) and stretch drives cross-country to the aforementioned trailheads.

Does anyone have tire recommendations? I've seen the Wildpeak Trail mentioned...

Also, does increasing the size to 235 or even 245 offer any substantial benefits with this type of use? I'd prefer not to have to replace the spare, but I will be using the higher position cargo shelf over the spare compartment at all times anyway, since my rear constant travel companions are some big ol' dogs, so if it's a cost/benefit win it's possible.

Thanks all!

The Geolandar A/T G015 is Yokohama's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of light trucks and SUVs looking for a tough and durable tire capable of withstanding off-road duty while providing long treadlife and year-round traction, even in snow.
